				 All Season Tires

While I know, we probably don't need another tire thread, after the whole winter tire thing, I'm in need of some opinions.
I'm looking for some input on what's the best type of all-season tire I should look for for my Mazda 3.

Leaning towards Goodyear Assurance Tripletread....good choice or no?

Ugh, I've hated Goodyears every time I've had them.
If I was to buy tires for my car at this point, and I was dead set against using a winter tire (which most will say you really should have), this is probably the best all-season IMO.

I`ve got 185/65/R15 TripleTreds on my <embarrassing American compact car> and I like them. Far better than the stock tires for handling and grip. Only about 30,000 km on them so far, though, so I can`t say how they`ll perform as they wear down.

Go to Harper Tire on 5516 - 4th Street, S.E and they can hook you up. They have two of the best tire guys in the city and the best equipment out there.

Glad to see this thread, I have the same car (05 GT). I bought it used from Kramer Mazda and the tires on it are Kumho Ecsta's? Are these stock tires for Mazda? Can't say I have ever heard of the manufacturer either, are they any good? Wait, let me rephrase that question. Are they any good on dry clear pavement cause the SUCK BIGTIME in the snow.

Those are some of the cheapest Z-rated (performance) tires you can buy.. They are not a good compound or tread pattern for the winter.. Personally I think they suck, you can buy better Z-rated tires for the same money..

Wow, so what I'm reading is some guy bought an 05 3 GT and chucked performance tires on it?!?! Cheap ones? Lol, that's kinda funny. Not what I would call a "performance" vehicle. Guess I'm in the market for new tires.

Thats pretty common, how many 10 year old imports do you see rolling around on rims worth more than the car?? Some people think a set of Z-rated tires makes their car fast.

If you're too cheap to buy winters, Nokian WR's are by far the best choice.

OK, so people have clearly changed my choice from Goodyear to Nokian...now do I go with the WRG2 or just the WR? I have no clue what the difference is.

I need new tires for my car, and I want to get winter tires next fall, but in the meantime what are good tires? Basically the same question as pagal!
I intend to use the tires only as summer tires, so that includes highway and rain and the rare snow in May/Sept-Oct.

What are some good ones other than the Nokians?

What's wrong with Goodyears? There must be something, given the overwhelming negative response. Just too common?

They arent cheap for how low quality they are.. I find they marble pretty bad once you have a few kms on them.. Definately not a good bang for your buck..

another plug for the Nokians. they're better than a lot of pure winter tires in the snow and you can use them all year round, best bang for your buck out there
