It happened to me once and I went to get it looked at right away. In my case, it was just torsion and I was okay.

I think in any guy's case, the slightest twinge in them old testicles deserves a quick trip to the doctor.

Well, if it makes you feel any better - you'll know if you have a full blown torsion. I was vomiting from the pain by 10AM, in the hospital getting shot up with morphine by noon and under the knife half an hour later.

Actually, the test isn't just by feel. It is quite romantic. He turns off all the lights and holds a flashlight up to your nut to see if the cyst is transparent or not.

If he can see through, that is your window to good health.

never heard of torsion before what the hell is it?

do your balls hang low, do they wabble to and fro?
can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow?

Happens to me once in a while, is it the sort of pain that isn't really noticeable if you hold your legs wide open? And if you even close your legs slightly it hurts a lot?

I had it last in Vegas while taking the shuttle to our hotel, and Judas Priest those speed bumps hurt like hell! Only lasted for about a half hour though...

I've been getting this every few months since I was about 14 or 15, and after watching the movie FUBAR I started worrying about nut cancer. I went to the doctor, got violated, then made a trip to another doctor where they did an ultrasound on my nuts. I turned out fine....

...just make sure you have a good corner to crawl up and cry in after a couple guys roll your marbles around for a while. I'm getting a red face just typing this.

I'm really not sure you want me to answer either question, but the answers are both qualified "no"s.

But keep in mind that the staple job is "internal".

And as much as I'd like to downplay my experience with this, this was simply the worst day of my life. Period. End of story and I doubt anything else will ever come close.

That happened to me. I got the twist. Wow, it's pretty much the worst feeling you can ever experience. The doc told me that after a couple more days of that your nuts die from blood-loss.

I was actually relieved when they told me it was just torsion/muscle strain. For a couple of days, I was convinced that it was cancer. Like convinced. I had gone through the mental process of losing a testicle and everything.

If the effected nut has a lump, feels different than the other one, or the pain persists for more than a couple days, I would see a doctor.

Is it normal to feel a little nauseous after reading this thread??

Man, I've been in some pain in my life, more than a few footballs (soccer) in the groin... but I really feel for you guys... jeez.

I had an excruciating pain in my right nut 2 weeks ago, lasted for about 2 days then just went away. I figured I had just slept with my legs crushing them or something. I guess it doesn't hurt (at least physically) to get them felt up by a dude.

I love how anything goes on CP, it's a great collection of resources.

I took a snap-shot off a nut that was dangling outside of my cup about a year or two ago. Sweet jesus in the morning it hurt for about 3 months.

It's probably been rendered useless.

I'm not sure how old you are, but torsion is much, much more common during the teenage years to early twenties, rather than outside that window. And it is a medical emergency! In genuine torsion, you've only got roughly 6 hours before your testicle dies. If this pain is persisting, get to the ER ASAP so that they can do an ultrasound. Having said that, you can get intermittent torsion, where deez nutz flip in and out of torsion spontaneously.

The alternative cause of acute pain, which is much more common, is inflammation of the testicle or tissues around it. It's thought to be caused by infections, sometimes of the STD variety. Again, ultrasound can help sort this out nicely.

And cancer of the testes is very rarely painful.

Its funny cause when there is a mass (tumor) and it isn't pinching on any vessels, it doesn't hurt but you probably want to get it out - although you might lose the nut with the mass. However, I do know that everything still works fine with just one nut so long as you don't need radiation/chemo...

Anyways, did the OP get it checked out yet or what?
