Any of you ever get a sore nut? No real reason (did as little as possible this weekend) and not reallllllllly sore, but dull pain nonetheless...

The pain sometimes kinda dissappears ... then mild, ... torsion sounds a bit more severe.

If the pain continues to get worse and/or becomes inflammed, get yourself checked out for Mumps. Especially if you are in the 16-26 year old range. Also, keep an eye out for swollen lymph nodes in your neck area. Mumps is still making the rounds in Alberta right now

Yeah I was scared about mumps. Luckily I got the shot before it got cancelled.

Not to scare you but keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any bigger than normal - if it does see a doctor immediately! testicular cancer is also popular for men in the 20-30 age group.

f89 - I've had a full blown testicular torsion before, if it gets progressively more painful as the day goes on or isn't gone by tommorrow, see a doctor ASAP. I cannot stress that enough.

Before the surgery, I had mild torsions which would go away later in the day. These would flair up for a day every couple of months. It just means you're at risk, but it doesn't mean you'll have a torsion.

Epididymitis? ... can be caused by a bacterial infection or can just be "chronic" for no known reason. At least that's what they told me. For me, eventually the fear of getting felt-up by a doctor was overcome by the fear of losing a nut.

I had similar sensations and actually felt a little lump right above my nut and was freaking out, so I had it looked at by a hobo in an alley who said he was a doctor.

He said that'll be 35 cents for a phone call and that I should get it checked out by a real doctor so I did.

The real doctor said that little cysts can form in there, but they aren't cancerous and they usually don't remove them unless the pain is severe and continuous.

Since then the pain has gone away and the little lump hasn't bothered me, but the hobo phoned to check up so that was nice.

Or if he has access to a band-saw, it would make the job go quicker.

The real trick is stopping all the bleeding fast enough.

LOL! Some funny responses in here, but after reading Lance Armstrong's book, I wouldn't hesitate to get it checked out. It'll give you some piece of mind for certain and if it is something bad, you don't want to wait around for it to get worse.
