The game also loses intrigue if people are dropping out from injury as opposed to being stabbed in the back.

How often has that actually happened though?
Had the dude fall into the fire.
I recall someone else having to bow out too, can't remember why.

That old guy who got the infection from all his bug bites. Was that the last season or second to last?

There was the burning hands, and an obstructed bowel or something, but exactly my point... the number of incidences from that one challenge dictates that it won't be back.
I think there was also somebody who left because they were worried about their mother's health and quit.

Yeah that was in the all-star edition. Can't remember the gal's name but I think she's dating Probst now (why do I know that?!?). Anyhoo her mom died shortly after she left the show. Sad.

Probst is/was dating some Christine chick I believe. So was that her?
I do know that Probst dated her after Johny Playfair stole his previous girlfriend at a Survivor wrap up party. That is why Jeff hates Johny now. I was actually shocked he was chosen as a favourite

Apparently Probst did not want Fairplay back. In fact he pushed hard for it....there was an article in EW about it. Probst made some pretty snide remark about the producers not listening to him.

The girl who quit was Jenna Morasca. She used to be (might still be, but I haven't heard lately) Survivor Africa winner Ethan. I knew it would pay off to own a copy of Survivor: All-stars!

Solid episode, quite a bit happened, I feel bad for Jonathan. He was an integral part of his new tribe and had a good idea of what needed to be done. I could have seen him teaming with Eliza and some of the fans to pick off James and Parvati, but now I don't think that is gonna happen.
God, I was nervous at the trbibal council. They made it look like there was a half decent chance that Ozzy was gonna get blindsided. The setup was there, but useless Chet didn't wanna continue.
Anyone else notice the tribesman they used for that reward challenge were the same ones they used in the Palau season. I watched that season recently on like the Outdoor channel or something and they had the exact same reward and sure enough, Joe, the fat "Micronesian" was on the show again.
Solid season so far IMO, Im a hug fan of Ozzy, so along with him being my pick, I really want him to win.

Woohoo! I'm out and so is bull-tits.
Sad about Jonathan though; hard to see him go out like that when Chet waves the white flag over a sore heel. A tough competitor who made the show interesting.
Did anybody else think he sounded like Alan Alda?

Chet is in my opinion the WORST. THE ABSOLUTE WORST contestant ever on Survivor. Come the reunion show he should be booed soundly off the stage.
How he got picked to even be on the show is beyond me.

You are absolutely right. I had to laugh at the end, when he gave his little speech about how hard he played the game and did his best. C'mon!
He was whiny and useless he knows what people thought about him, how could he possibly think that about himself. Talk about having blinders on.
He was so annoying.
And Cirie lives to see another day, I'm still in it.

I've missed the last couple of episodes, and it sounds like I'm out of the pool. I gather from reading some of the posts here that Jonathan became less annoying as the season went on?

he wasn't annoying for the most part at all this year. Infact i thought they put together a pretty good strategy to try and get rid of James and parvarti before he had to leave.

This was on last night for some strange reason, and I missed it.
Did anyone catch it?
Any updates?

The weird middle aged woman quit.
You can make her the 2nd worst Survivor contestant ever, just behind Chet. Brutal participants both of them. Thousands of people want to be on this show and these two wimps quit. Horrible. They should be embarassed and soundly boo'd at the reunion show.
Oh yeah then they voted out Tracy. Pretty uneventful episode.

I don't know, I've been in worse conditions, but everyone has their breaking points. The thing about her family though was weird.
Its funny because usually the weak get bounced pretty early in the game, but these players are playing the strategy thing a little too hard and they're killing themselves in the challenge.
Probst has softened up a little bit, I remember the season where they had one player get up at tribal council and quit and Probst pretty much sneered at him, called him a wimp and just told him to drop his torch and get lost.
I guess you can't treat somebodies momma like dat.

Is there no episode on this week? Celebrity Apprentice is two hours tonight so no Survivor this week, I guess.
