OK here goes...
I played in the Super Bowl, but never won.
I've worn one of those ugly orange blazers in Canton.
I had six 30+ point games as a basketball player in high school.
I was recruited by Joe Paterno as a linebacker.
I was a Rookie of the Year, but not in the NFL

Don't you mean, I played in four Super Bowls, but never won?

It was the rookie of the year hint that gave it away for me. When I think of USFL I think of Reggie White and Herchel Walker as well. White has a ring and Herchel is not in the HOF.

Upon Graduation from High School I had 6 Major League Baseball teams interested in me. But my mother wanted me to go to college so I took a football scholarship instead. My first college of choice rejected me because of my SAT score.
At College I went 29-4 as a starter. And won a National Championship.
I was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals but never played for them.
Who am I?

Jim Burt played for the Giants and the 49ers
Leon Lett Played for the Cowboys and the Broncos (1 yr)
Nate Newton played for the Cowboys and the Panthers (1 yr)
So maybe it is Tom Nalen?

I will rephrase some of the questions
I played probably the most underrated and forgotten position in football, especially the NFL
The team I played for called 3 different stadiums home during my career.

I was at the Saints/Seahawks game last year. It was the game after Mack had announced his retirement. He was chosen to raise the 12th man flag during the pre-game ceremonies. The Seattle crowd gave him a standing ovation, after a little "convincing," I helped get all of the Saints fans in my section to join in.
He was a warrior and a class act. He paved the way for three different 1,000 yard rushers. (Warren, Watters, Alexander)
With a name like Mack Strong, could he have played any other position?
