Habs make Lehtinen available

With the recent slide in the standings, the Habs have decided a shake-up is necessary and are looking at moving Lehtinen.

Lehts is a SIM god and is currently 3rd on my team in points playing on the 2nd line. His DF is 78 and is pretty much the highest you can get for a forward in the CPHL. He would make a great fit on a contender looking to bolster their team prior to the hectic trade deadline.

I mean, that deal can be offset with salary going the other way, you'd think - and maybe a bit of Cheese on the way too.

I do have Cheese room, as I do realize his salary is high. At the same time, his performance is worthy of the salary.

I believe it was KG... during the year that the crazy contracts first started. He dropped the $10M to make sure he got him. IIRC, Jere was up there with the cream of the crop that UFA season.

Yeah, he got that contract because....well his agent was smart enough to wait for free agency and there were no good free agents and a lot of teams looking for a player. Craig Conroy is making 9 million for pretty much the same reason.
