Sweet Bejebuz It's Cold
actually I'm complaining because everyone else is. -18C plus the wind chill is dropping it to -28C, I heard it was -32C earlier.
That said, anyone ever have the inside of their windshield fog up after you start driving, then have it freeze while you're on the highway?
Fun time this morning I tell ya!

It hit -21 this morning for me (South Calgary). I don't really start complaining till it hits -25 with a windchill.
The fogging up on the inside really irritates me, but I tend to crack a rear window open and turn the A/C on to clear the moisture out till the inside heats up.
-6 out right now. Feels tropical!

At least there is snow on the ground. Nothing worse than freezing cold and staring at the brown and dirty ugliness that is Calgary 6 months a year.

I went to elementary and high school in Fort McMurray (before I went to University in Edmonton and then moved to Calgary this year) so anything warmer then -30 doesn't even feel cold to me anymore. I remember it used to always be -35 to -40 in Fort McMurray with windchill(wouldn't even be a big deal to have a -35 to 40 day) and some days with windchill it went to -52 a few times. So yeah, this is a nice change of pace from when I was a kid.

Haha yeah i think we had a day last year that was like -57 or something (so cold you have trouble taking that first breath in). Being my first year back in winnipeg after living in st.albert i'm think oh hardly anyones gonna show up but i get to school and no one's missing. I was shocked

Bah ... we're all getting soft. –30 is used to just be the end of barbecue season. Or time to move the BBQ into the garage ...

I dunno. I was up near High Level a couple years ago when the morning temperature was -49, and the daytime high was -42. When I got back to Calgary, I sure could tell the difference at -30.

I've been to Tassie, but had to look up Bridport which seems to be on the NE coast (I went to Hobart and the east coast only midway up, to Bicheno). It's a beautiful place Tasmania--forests, mountains, beaches, not too crowded, not too hot in summer. He's picked a great spot I bet.
