Barenaked ladies. Neither naked, nor ladies.
Extremely disappointing.

Metallica...
For their whole anti-file sharing / download tyrade they went on 7 or 8 years ago... No real thought, seemed very contrived and self rightous... I'm still bitter about that... I have a hard time with them being on Guitar Hero III....

Its a pretty common story, punk rockers are in it for the music for a bunch of years, then they're are staring down the barrel of their 30's, realize they have no marketable skills other than music (which they are making little money to do).
They decide to start making radio friendly tunes and the big labels back them up because they have street cred. Punk is supposed to be a rejection of these kinds of values, they have made themselves irrelevant. I don't care about what kind of band they 'were', because they 'are' corporate ass-clowns trying to score some radio hits so they can retire at 35, yeah, thats real punk.

I want to tear my ears off and shoot myself when this fawking song comes on, I seriously can't stand it and for some reason it is ALWAYS on that part when I turn on the radio.

It is such a shame that a very good Gordon Lightfoot original was belched out in that fashion.

Hey any band from Toronto that has songs like "Fallen Leaves" and "Red Flag" can't be all that bad. Aren't both songs about how the Leafs suck?

That doesn't change the fact that they recorded "Try Honesty". That is their ticket to hell.

Try Honesty was a pretty good song! Real deep lyrical genius. I used to bang my hoes to that song.

wow, I'm shocked, shocked I say that the following person was not yet named
Shania Twain
or is she acceptable because of Alberta's connection with country music? But sweet bejebuz I need to turn the bad woman off! Worse than Celene Dion, I'm sorry.
Amanda Marshall was already stated, she's a must go
Phil Collins is a turn him off (at least his new stuff)
Someone mentioned Sean Kingston, good for them, he's a throw my radio out the window artist.
Never been a Pumpkins fan (and yes I was a teenage in the 90's, he couldn't sing then, can't now)
I've basically stopped listening to the radio.
But for anyone that has complained about the radio in Calgary as a whole, I need you to do me a favour.
Stand up, go to the bathroom, take your forehead and smash it into the mirror.
www.k94radio.com I had to listen to that day in day out for 20+ years you ungrateful b******s!
Bet you can't last a week listening to it streaming at work and at home.

They had other more important going on in their lives like Hetfield's wife expecting and he became their voice. Even they said they were embarrassed by some of the things he said because it gave people the wrong impression but they couldn't take it back cause it was already said.
Regardless they had every right to do what they did. It was their property and they should have control over how it's distributed. And that was what the whole thing was based off of. Not money because they ended up paying more than they made from the whole thing and they didn't care but control because they admit they're complete control freaks with Hetfield being the worst which lead to Newsted quitting.
The whole thing started because they were pissed off a leaked version of I Disappear showed up on Napster and a bunch of radio stations were playing it before the movie even came out.

Let's see...
Nickelback - for reasons already stated in this thread.
Good Charlotte - garbage music, annoying posers.
The Tragically Hip - boring ass music, overplayed, sounds whiny. Talented band, but for me, the radio goes instantly OFF when they come on.
Simple Plan - Simply No.
Barenaked Ladies - Hey friends, I can't wait for the next CPP Party, when is it? Hopefully it doesn't go past nine, that's my bedtime k?
L'il [insert name here] - tooooo many hip-hop artists sounding the same these days. When's the next Run DMC, Public Enemy or Tupac going to come along? This genre has declined since the mid-to-late 90's. Granted, so has rock, but you get the idea.
Jack Johnson - Why?? What is it with this guy? I don't get the hype, his music is incredibly generic. I have musician friends that sound just like him and are arguably more talented, and HE gets the record contract??
While I won't necessarily turn off my radio for this, I'm starting to really despise indy / emo-corporate rock that's grown since 2005. How many damn kids these days need to form groups, conform to the latest cool trend by saying they're different than other bands, and play whiny-ass music that just inspires a generation of tight jean-wearing kids with striped shirts, purple hair and metal all over their faces? Damnit, these kids are seriously making youth uncool. Stupid crybaby music. This upcoming generation of music needs a good dose of Buckcherry and Econoline Crush, I'm tellin' yaz.
This new emo generation single-handedly took the coolness out of sports, smoking weed and getting into schoolyard fights.
I'm thinking of others as we speak.

haha, what can I say, punk was my first love, and punk without rebellion is just fashion.
Simple Plan said they used to play really progressive music, but that isn't going to buy any respect from me.
