Unfortunately not, as it's a function of the user's control panel.
A couple of options though would be to block specific images when you see them (using firefox and adblock or something similar).
Another would be to use the archive view: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/archive/index.php/ (though that doesn't let you post).

That archive link is perfect for work Photon! Straight text without images! I'll definitely be using that here and there whenever I'm actually in the office. Thanks!

I browze from work and life to see things like that- if I get in trouble then I don't have to sit through boredom everyday.
Is there a "please make me a sig" thread? If so, I would be willing to buy a fellow CPer a couple beers for an awesome signature... I just don't have the skillz to make one.

Huh? Not seeing any x's under Firefox. And at 74px high it's less than yours. Am I missing something?

Anyhoo, yes, his sig has been like that for many months. Ken, I bet you could edit out the problem in his profile.
Oh, and IHH, I believe what ATR was indicating is that your sig is too wide (425)

IHH- did you just intend on having that one image in your sig? If so, it's possible you have some remnants of an old sig in there, and people using Firefox maybe don't see X's- they just see blank.

Haha, mine's only 81px high... well under the limit. I was only trying to tell you I see red x's and I dont know what they should be, but it's kind of pointless space being used by broken linked images.

Weeee-ird. The signature edit box showed nothing but the sigfile, but Firefox wasn't rendering the red x boxes for me, so I didn't know anything was amiss or to clean em out. One image file is all there was supposed to be. Redid it all and it's OK in IE7. Strange thing is that I've had this sig for ages.
Sorry folks, that would have driven me nuts as vertical sig height is what kills readability of the forums. Horizontal not so much, IMHO.
