Default What is Your New Year's Resolutions?

Well only a few more days to get your lists in order. I am curious what people on CP have planned.

I want to eat out/order in less, and start making home cooked meals. Me and my friends order out way too much.

Go back to losing weight. I was doing a good job of it until I got side-tracked by 1 week of vacation, followed by a week at a conference (for work) and then two weeks of in house training (where food and snacks were bought for us).

Stop drinking. I don't have a problem, I'll make myself a really stiff drink (or two or three) some Fridays or Saturdays after my son and wife have gone to bed. Now that my wife is pregnant and the due date is so close, I shouldn't be drunk in case the baby decides its time to see the world.

Get rich quick.

2 of the 3 will work.

Continue on my weight loss, slow and steady wins the race, right? Move up within the Flames to a full-time position. That's about it.

One simple one, stop smoking. I've already addressed the weight and the drinking.

Oh and more sex, lots more sex.

I'm promising myself that I'll cut down on smoking to only one cig a day, as opposed to my normal 2-3. It's not a complete cutoff, but it should do nicely. The full-on ban at all bars and restaurants will help nicely to eventually kick it later in the year.

I too have also promised myself that I would give up eating out so much. I was doing it about 3-4 times a week earlier this year, but I've managed to cut it down to about 1-2 times. Hopefully I can do it only once a week on Saturdays, and bag my lunch the rest of the days when I go to work. This has put significantly more cash in my pocket for other things.

Also, I hope to complete some grad school applications and successfully get accepted, as well as increase my number of freelance writing jobs I can take this year.

All reasonable goals!

i was at the gym every other day and the waist line was really starting to go away (relatively speaking of course)...suits fitting better, etc.

and then a couple of work projects stopped that...and now here we are 2 months later...and i feel like i am back where i was months ago. true or not...that's my sense.

so...my resolution is to get back to the gym, eat smarter, drink more quality vs quantity (if that makes sense...it means drink less really), and work less.

and less procrastination.

More potent drinks, perhaps? A half-mickey of vodka can do much more than a six-pack of beer!...

Get on with my life. My personal life has been in a state of suspension for a while. Time to allow me to once again do things I enjoy without feeling guilty.

You bet, it takes months or years to put it on and most people want it all gone within a few work outs. If you can lose 1-2 pounds a week you are on the healthy and right track to losing weight.

Get on with my life. I've been in a perpetual stall for oh... about 8 years. Or at least that's what I think.

On a more specific goal orientated direction. The gym losing weight thing doesn't work for me. But bouncing out of the holidays strong and picking up where I left off 15 days ago is a good start.

Pick up my training for the '08 Tri Season
Plan what I need to do for '09 IMC
Clean my room (could happen any day)
Get to work on time more often

Keep up with my daily routine of going to the gym.

Try to eat smaller portions and eat more veggies.

Spend more time with family.

Continue on my weight loss plan and try eating out less.
I never bring my lunch to work, so I'm hoping I can start bringing lunches everyday, or at least 3 times a week.
