I didn't get too too much this year. Probably because I didn't ask for much. Watch, SD card (for my new camera that I bought on FS.ca's boxing day sale, I swear, my friends know the future), the world's greatest travel mug, and a Calgary Flames ice scraper. That last thing is the randomest thing I've ever seen. It's an ice scraper attached to a massive mitt with the Flaming C on it to keep your hands warm while you scrape your car off. All in all, it was a very practical haul.

The wife and i decided not to do presents this year. my five year old only wanted a few things from Santa which included a iggy jersey, Iggy helmet, Kipper, and Phanuef McFarlane. He got a bunch of other stuff but that was his main wants. Bought the kids a Foosball table as well so that should keep us semi occupied.

I missed out on the $99 HD-DVD player, it was actually processing my card when it went out of stock

But I did get the Canon XT digital SLR, we'll see if I like it enough to keep it.

I got a wii. Wasn't expecting it at all. Did I mention that I'm 35. Also got a universal remote. Pretty happy.

This Christmas was awesome...

My mom was in town from Michigan so we had a chance to spend Christmas together this year as a family. That was an amazing gift...everything else was just gravy.

But I got:

- A duvet
- Guess Jeans and a shirt
- Argyle sweater and a non-argyle sweater
- Lululemon pants and shirt. Easily the most comfortable things that I have ever put on. Everybody needs some Lululemon clothes!!
- More Chocolate than I can eat...which is saying something because I LOVE chocolate.
- A plate and bowl set.
- New Cologne...one of my addictions in life.
- Underwear and socks...
- Gift card for Blimpies -- best subs ever.
- The usual stocking stuff.

It gets easier! Try not to worry so much about being accurate, and just type away.

Have you seen click? Be careful with those universal controls, those things can have some serious repercussions. You can never be too old to have fun with a gaming console.

I got my nephew Rock Band for Christmas this year. I have never seen a 15 year old look so stunned and happy. His jaw dropped and he just stared at it for a few seconds. Only thing better than getting the perfect gift is giving one.

Lets see...

Ma and Pa got me and the other two hellians a Wii, which was completely unexpected and totally freakin' awesome
Got a blazer, dress pants, couple dress shirts and a nice tie for my upcoming trip to Europe
A Dremel! (Grandpa goes more for practicallity than coolness...not that I'm ever going to use the thing. But hey, it's the thought that counts)
Backpack
Money
Bobby Orr McFarlanes...the Chicago one and the sepia-toned Bruins one

So all in all, it was a great haul this year

But the best part was giving my mom, and my brother their presents. I bought her a Henkel knife and an in-drawer knife holder. Her mouth just dropped when she saw it. I got the young'n one of the new Flames jerseys customized with Iggy's number and everything and the look on his face was awesome when he got it opened.

Merry Christmas everyone. I got a great surprise gift this year from my son. Did my first ever 5K in November after taking a running clinic (very very beginner).
My number disappeared a couple of days later and I thought I had thrown it out by mistake. Today I got a picture, with my number, a picture of me from that day, with my time etc. all beautifully framed. I was so shocked and happy, it was really a nice surprise.

Presents of interest were iPod clock radio/stereo and a Logitech universal remote. I am pretty pumped about the universal remote. I can't configure my shaw remote to control both the volume and power of my tv. This new remote will do the job nicely. However I might exchange the clock radio as it wasn't the one I was hoping for.

I got the Indiana Jones dvd box set, Bourne Ultimatum, latest Robin Hobb hardback, new bible, chocolate-covered espresso beans, some t-shirts, a shirt and the new Diary/Notebook Moleskine. Really pleased with it all!

Flames logo-festooned bath and hand towel set. No instruction tag for crying.

Modest Christmas this time around, which suits me fine. I have most everything I need anyway and if I don't, I usually end up getting it on my own.

To echo someone else in the thread, I think I did pretty good on the giving end. That makes me happy.

Still waiting for some of mine as my brother and sister were late getting their parcels out.

I treated myself and bought a weeks vacation in Hawaii for mid January.
