He lost his defence, that's for sure.
Cutler wasn't very good tonight despite some decent numbers. Scheffler and Marshall were great and that was about it.
I hope they lose out. Higher pick. They'll be back in the playoffs next year. Future is bright in Houston methinks. Great coach, and they play for him.

4th and 7?
4th and 10?
The game was still close at that point.

Meh, Mario fought through injuries in '06 and Bush had some big plays the last half of that year and into the playoffs and clearly had the better year. And now this year Mario's fully healthy and looks like a beast, meanwhile Bush has been handcuffed to the starting RB role all year with Deuce out, plus was playing injured for over a month and is now out himself, Mario's clearly had the better '07. I wouldn't necessarily chalk this year up to Mario>Reggie over-all career-wise, they've still got alot of ball left in their careers.
On a side note, I absolutely hate this comparison. I really felt bad for Mario for the crap he took for being the 1st overall pick ahead of Reggie, the fact he got booed on draft day was a joke. How can you compare a DE to an RB anyways? Once Reggie's free to move around like he was last year again, unless Mario picks up 12-15 sacks every year, Bush is always gonna win this comparison, just because RB's touch the ball so much more and are involved in more plays than DE's are. I think it's really unfair for Mario to have to deal with this his whole career.

They were in Houston territory on the edge of field goal range, not crazy decisions at all.
That said, I think Shanahan might lean toward the riskier option (granted that label) knowing that at worst he increases his draft position.

But down by 4 at the 35... 4th and <5 maybe.. but 7 and 10.. I'd pooch it inside the 10.

There are football games today?
(these are the words of a fan of a crappy team who has had a miserable fantasy football year!)

I was knocked out in all 3 of my pools last week.
Holy blizzard in the Browns/Bills game, and the Pats game looks nasty in the sleet.
Edit: I'm flipping between those games and I can't see the lines (or sidelines) at Cleveland
Edit2: They cleared the sidelines and goal-lines at the quarter

Wow, Dawson just nailed a 49-yard FG in like 4 inches of snow.

Jets have played well, considering the QB carousel they have been on this game.

Baltimore ties it with a FG with 8 seconds left. 16-16 in the Ravens/Dolphins game.

This is off topic, but I loved the band playing the Animaniacs song during the Panthers / Seahawks game today.

My question is why didn't they run at least one play with 12 secs left, lots of time to throw the ball and still have time for a FG if they didn't convert.
Stupid play IMO...glad MIA won because of that stupidity. If you have a chance to win the game, win it!
