I don't know anything about the Norwegian legal system but it said he spent his last four years of his sentence there, not that his sentence was four years. I've seen murderers get less than four years in Canada, so lets hold our outrage for our own system.

If that's true than I misheard him. My point wasn't so much that we should be outraged, but maybe more liberal in our ways of dealing with criminals. A lot of our laws are adopted from the US and toned down in some cases. Maybe there's something wrong with a system when "The most free country in the world" has some of the highest crime rates in the world. Shouldn't you be happy if you're free?

Norway is a interesting place, I have some relatives who moved out there and they love it there. Mind you Iceland has shares a lot of similarities to Norway but Norway has the huge money from Oil.
