Default Gone, Baby Gone

Has anyone seen this movie, or read the book?

Mystic River, written by the same author, is one of my favorite books of all time. So when I picked up Gone, Baby Gone, I was disappointed. And thus I never finished the book. Or at least I thought I hadn't.

But I went and saw the movie today, and knew what happened in the end. So unless this plot is a carbon copy of some other movie, I must have finished the book.

Anyways, what an unbelievable movie. So powerful, suspenseful, and heart-wrenching. Definitely one to pick up on DVD.

so you're saying that the plot was predictable since you haven't finished the book but you knew what happened? or are you just clarivoyant?

I don't know, I honestly thought I stopped reading the book early on, but I knew exactly how it would end. I sound like a lunatic for saying something like that. Regardless, despite the fact that the ending didn't shock me, the movie was still an incredible experience.

Edit- It was like I had seen the movie two years ago. There were parts of it that I felt massive deja-vu. Maybe the book was just that detailed. A testament to Ben Affleck's directing? I don't know.
