Sharks are doing much better against the once dominant Kings lately and manage a tie after the yesterdays big win. Erat at center once again leads to a much better performance by the top line and himself. Having one assist in the first 6 games and now 3 goals and 2 assists in the last two. Even though Parise sat out for the first of his five game suspension Bondra stepped up on line 1 and Vrbata did very well on line 2, earning himself two assists and the games 1st star.

Modry made his deal to the Preds yesterday that much harder to swallow picking up yet another goal which would have put him in the team lead at 4 goals and was a very solid +2 on the night. Hopefully letting him go doesn't come back to haunt me later on.

Budaj played well enough again but is showing signs that he responds much better to added pressure having played great in games where we are outshot and only good in games where we outshoot our opponent.

We look forward to tomorrow's game against the defending Stanley Cup Champs and are excited to be playing someone other than the Kings! The boys will be ready to take advantage of the Wild's underachieving firepower and want to make sure they are not used as a "first step" towards Minny getting their game back but rather deal them another frustrating loss.

Minnesota can't seem to find their feet on land this year, so they should be in for quite a surprise when they take a dip in the deep teal sea!

The bolts held on for as long as they could but just could not squeek out the win in overtime.

HAPLESS will go on the wall for the next meeting Mr Hesla.

Good win for the oil without hammer. Were going to need a lot of this for a while. Brodeur was brodeur and the defense seemed to play well.

See you later Louie!! You were an absolute piece of horse crap for us. I mean I could have used David Mckee and had a better GAA. Let's hope that this big deal actually shakes things up and helps us get rid of that sim curse, cause one thing is for sure we have it.

Leafs win second straight by 3-0 score.

Lundqvist played solid again. He only had to make 23 saves for the shutout as opposed to 23 two nights ago but a shutout is a shutout. Have to happy about the way the defense/goaltending have rebounded after getting pounded for a few games.

Langkow, Horton, and Redden netted the goals. The Leafs finally scored a PP goal, but overall went 1 for 8.

Basically, the Habs took a slew of penalties in the second period which took away their chance to get any offense going or build any momentum. The Leafs took a 2-0 lead to the 3rd and finished it off.

Niclas Havelid should be returning to the lineup next game. We've finally recovered from all those injuries on the backline.

Gainey overrules GM Sowa and Raycroft gets the start... Not that it would have mattered because Bryzgalov wouldn't have put the puck in the net. Look for a lines shake up soon if our scoring continues to be this abysmal.

Rangers get smoked....

Rangers Organization were hoping for a split at the very least and were shocked by this outcome...

A closed door meeting was held for a lengthy time when it was complete two plane tickets were handed out. Andy Sutton was moved to Dallas and Michael Nylander was traded to the Ducks.

Avs scoring woes continue and are shut out for the second time in this young season. Lineup changes will have to occur. The team is getting banged up a bit as well, which isn't helping matters.

Our PK let us down. We had one player be a minus for the night and we can only manage a tie.

Richards is now second in the league in points (1 goal and alot of assists).

I think we need to shakeo up our PK so we are looking for some stong defensive players.

It was the Fleury show as the Senators downed the Canes 2-1. Goals by Bell and Maki lead the way. nobody is really showing they want to take the 1st line role on this team. So we continue to play the mix and match game trying to find a balance.

Today it worked.. The win moves us to 4-4-1 on the season

Not too happy with a home and home split with the Ducks. Then again, maybe it's the pick needed on the magical start to the season.

quick check in from the road
wow

Sabres winners of 4 straight, including 3 against the Pens. Giguere seems to have found his way, the team sits as the conference 2nd seed . lots of the depth guys coming through the likes of York, Ortmeyer and Scatchard.

I should stay away more often!

Woof!
Yotes back in the win column after 2 games. Nice rebound game after being shelled for 9 goals the night before. Rucinsky stepped up with 2 goals and an assist.

Captain Mats Sundin went down to injury at the 10:55 mark of the 3rd period in a freak accident. Blues forward Sidney Crosby had his recently re-attached head fall off. As Sid's body collapsed to the ice his skate caught Mats on the back of the leg. The cut is not too serious and Mats should be back soon.
