Bills want a home game in Toronto to expand Ontario fan base

Would have loved to see a game in Edmonton, but clearly Toronto was always the favorite to get it.

Considering 1/3rd of season ticket holders for the Bills are from Ontario, this was a no brainer.

Me neither, but the Monday Night game a couple weeks ago mentioned how important their Canadian connections were.
Of course, when the broadcast returned to the booth, Jaworski made the clever and original "no wonder it's cold here" and "I thought all Canadians liked was hockey..."

the group that wants to bring the NFL to toronto is CFL friendly, so much so it has been suggested that if you want season tickets to the NFL you need to buy argos tickets as well...are you telling me that that wouldn't benefit the league?

Do you consider that friendly or a smart business ploy because people will buy them just because its the NFL and not CFL, but they won't actually show up to many CFL games. It's excellent business people won't be buying NFL season tickets to go watch CFL games. They'll buy the NFL tickets and sell the CFL tickets cheap to someone else to recouperate some of the cost. Whether or not they'll be able to sell them will be something else. IF I lived in TO thats what I would do.
Its a marketing gimic. Of course they're going to say they're CFL friendly do you think it would be smart for them to say I want an NFL franchise to kill the CFL franchise.
I'm just interested to see how TO would be at tailgating as thats a huge part of american football and not so much in the CFL.

I don't care if it kills it or not, I just want the NFL in Canada plus most likely the Bills would be in TO, meaning the dolphins would be in TO every year. I would be going to that game every year.

A number of NFL teams don't tailgate, including the Lions.

Buffalo is like 90 minutes away from Toronto - I've gone to several games. The Dolphins go there every year right now. It's a great trip and watching an NFL game at Ralph Wilson is way better than watching it at SkyDome.

Really? I went to a Raiders game a couple years ago with a buddy and saw a RV flying a Flames flag. Of course my buddy and I checked it out and inside was 5 mexican guys smoking up and cooking beans. Spent awhile with them... haha.
I thought tailgating was kind of... mandatory.

It depends on the jurisdiction. I do know it's illegal to tailgate in public parking lots in Detroit. Seattle as well, I believe.

Ya, the cops in Oakland just keep a perimeter to prevent booze from leaving. Theyre pretty hands off. I cant imagine going to a college/NFL/CFL game without tailgating.

According to today's National Post, this won't be counted as one of the 2 international games that will be played outside the US for the next 8 years.
In any event, there isn't a limit of how many games will be played in Canada.
Buffalo moving to Toronto is possible, in the near future. Money talks, and the Bills will be sold to the highest bidder. The National Post mentioned in recent weeks that Daryl Katz is being pursued to join the group that is interested in moving the Bills to Toronto. Katz spokesperson didn't confirm or deny the rumor.

Hard to believe there are that many teams without tailgating.
Oh by the way I've been to tons of games in Buffalo, I just think the city is garbage. I grew up in the K-W area. I have friends and family in the TO area, and stuff likfe that thats why TO would be awesome.
