It's obviously fake... but funny nonetheless.

I heard from a friend in Japan that it was done by simulataneous shooting with some sort of infrared camera, filtering it, and then overlaying it with concurrant video.

Who knows though; at it's core, it's obviously a joke.

I just love how when he throws it, he gazes longingly at the distal horizon, almost expecting to see it
