I still think it's more likely that Gudbranson stays put, even at a discount for how he played, as long as he's offered a multi year deal with some trade protection.

That guy has bounced around a ton the last few years.

I also get the feeling he was a great teammate. He's always one of the first guys congratulating with a big smile on his face. In interviews they voted him the funniest guy in the room. I really hope he is back.

There's just no way that he fits, though. Like it's not even close.

Zadorov played much better than his advanced stats in Buffalo suggested.

I too agree it will mostly be Gudbrandson being the one we keep, he has a young child/another on the way and his wife works as a Dentist here. He'd take less $ for more term. $1.5M x 3? $2M by 2? something alone those lines perhaps. Anything more is a risk.

It's be a good time to move hanifin we could get some great return. We have Mack,Jussi, much cheaper rate make room for another forward weapon. I want the big Russian back

Posted by Zadorov on Instagram.

I'm not sure how it'd be possible, but I'd gladly take Zadorov back. As mentioned he's had three 1 year deals in a row so some stability in a multiyear deal would probably be key.

What happens with Monahan and Lucic will determine our flexibility obviously.

I really like Z... I just don't see him taking less than $3mil AAV on his next deal unfortunately. I think Mackey, Valimaki, and maybe Stone compete for his spot next year.

If there is still room after the Flames re-sign their key guys, I could see Gudbranson coming back for ~$2mil for a couple more years.

What happens with Monahan and Lucic is going to be interesting.

Hmmm...

He hasn’t played in Buffalo for 7 seasons.

Lucic is pretty easy to move once his bonus is paid after July 1st. Seattle would probably take him for a b prospect or a mid rnd pick.

You are assuming Lucic waives to go to Seattle and that Seattle wants to burn cap space.

Two big assumptions. Which make easy pretty hard.

My daughter bought the same boots. Why - no clue. They look ridiculously big and are heavy as heck.

Seattle will need cap space and Lucic already waived once to possibly go to Seattle. They will be looking to take on contracts tied to young assets/draft picks. Makes it fairly easy actually

I don't understand any of it. I am also in my 40s and don't understand half the world anymore.

SEA is at 59.6M for 14 players. The floor is not an issue, but they could use some rentals for next TDL as they currently only have Donskoi and Soucy.
