As it has been over 12 hours Proto should be AKd soooo
In the category of Movie Adaptation we are proud to select Superman: The Movie.
Released in 1978 this movie was a huge hit with Christopher Reeve as Superman. Also with Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando this was a great cast and they made a great movie together. The effects that they used in this movie were beyond their time and earned them an Oscar.
I dare you watch just the opening and not get goosebumps from the music
There is no other Superman besides Christopher Reeve

Okay, I'm also still a little iffy on the Alternate category, so let me know if my pick doesn't work.
Team Deliciously Evil selects Archangel for the Alternate category.
Warren Worthington's wings were mutilated during the Mutant Massacre by the Marauder Harpoon, although Thor's intervention saved his life. When the wings developed gangrene, Cameron Hodge willfully signed the paperwork, against Angel's wishes, to have Warren's crippled wings amputated. Despondent over the loss of his wings, Warren escaped the hospital and commandeered his private jet, which exploded in the air as the rest of X-Factor watched helplessly from below. It was ultimately revealed that Hodge had sabotaged Warren's ultra-light airplane in order to finish off his nemesis, under the cover of an apparent suicide.
However, seconds before the explosion, Warren was spirited away by the ancient mutant Apocalypse. Apocalypse offered the despondant Angel a deal: serve him as his Horseman Death and he would give him his wings back. Apocalypse subjected Angel to extensive genetic alterations, giving him blue skin and organic metal wings, which could cut through almost anything and could fire his metal feathers as projectiles. He also gave him the title of "Death," the leader of his Horsemen, complete with extensive mental condition to make him obey Apocalypse's dark plans for him. Death would be unveiled to X-Factor during their second meeting with the Horsemen, with Warren sadistically exploiting his friend's shock at seeing him alive to defeat them in combat. As he led the Horsemen of Apocalypse to attack Manhattan, it was Iceman who helped Warren break free of Apocalypse's control by making Warren think he murdered him.
Well, might as well stick with the Alpha Flight theme, for Female Hero team Fighty Time! Fighty Time! will take Elizabeth Twoyoungmen...
Talisman
I am actually looking at this comic as we speak. She hated her father (Shaman) for years, blaming him for her mother's death. The only person who can look into Shaman's mystic pouch (there's a joke in there somewhere) and not completely lose her mind.
Her powers etc:
Talisman possesses vast supernatural powers, once described as "a mortal channel through which the gods can fight", as well as "a director of forces, not a combatant". Her father, Shaman, has stated that her powers when properly developed would rival even that of the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange. Primary among her powers is the ability to command the Spirits of the Land, meaning she is literally part of the Spirit World itself. While Shaman could only implore the Spirits for help, Talisman can command them outright. Her other abilities include astral projection, exorcism, matter manipulation, the ability to see prophetic visions, telepathy, teleportation over vast distances, animating the undead, generating wind blasts and lightning, summoning air spirits, calling forth spirit animals, creating magical shields of light, and generating blasts of magical energy.
And, she's hot. Her involvement in the X-men / Alpha Flight crossover w/ Loki is just plain cool. And my favourite crossover ever. So, she gets picked.
The Green Goblin is a name shared by several fictionalsupervillains that appear in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 (July 1964), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. The original and current Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, is an enemy of Spider-Man. After a serum enhanced industrialist Norman Osborn's physical abilities and intellect but also drove him insane, he adopted a Halloween-themed appearance, dressing in a goblin costume and using an arsenal of high-tech weapons, notably grenade-like "Pumpkin Bombs" while riding on a bat-shaped "Goblin Glider" to terrorize New York City. The character has appeared in numerous Spider-Man related media throughout the years, including television series and the Spider-Man films in which he is portrayed by Academy Award-nominated actor Willem Dafoe. The character was ranked number 19 on Wizard Magazine's Top 100 Greatest Villains Ever list.[2]
I liked this issue, where GG (Norman's son Harry) forced Spiderman to choose between the lives of May, MJ and Flash:
The passage of the Superhuman Registration Act provided an opportunity for Osborn to offer his abilities for the good of the country. Injected with nanites by Tony Stark (Iron Man) capable of delivering a powerful shock should he go astray, Osborn was offered leadership of a new government sponsored Thunderbolts with a small army of superpowered evildoers as a temporary means to round up rogue heroes who refused to register.
Norman is seen as the earth's greatest hero, allowing him power to rewrite the order of Earth itself.[109] He and his Dark Illuminati start some drastic changes that will tip the scale against superheroes and towards the side of supervillany. Norman first shuts down S.H.I.E.L.D., claiming it is too corrupted due to Skrull infiltration. He reforms it into H.A.M.M.E.R., putting himself as head, with S.H.I.E.L.D. secretary Victoria Hand as his second and firing Tony Stark. Tony is now seen as a coward and Osborn has him hunted down as a fugitive, making the public declare him the reason for the Skrull Invasion.[110] Norman then shuts down the 50 State Initiative, claiming it was a failed program from the mind of Stark. He creates only one government-sponsored Avengers team to do the job, the Dark Avengers.[111]
For their 6th round pick, Team Savage Dragonsis proud to select:
THE MAESTRO
Category: Alternate Universe
Why: Evil Hulk = badass The Maestro comes from an alternate reality where nuclear wars destroyed the world's heroes and most of it's population, leaving a barren, barely livable planet. While the few humans were trying to survive miles beneath the surface, the Hulk, driven insane by the radiation and power, built a city which protected people from the radiation. The Hulk renamed himself the Maestro and allowed you to live in the city as long as you did what you were told and gave him whatever he wanted.
In the Canadian category I pick...Wild Child. At one time this guy was a complete homicidal maniac but has since got his nuttiness under control.
Wild Child's mutant powers include superhuman smell, sight, hearing, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance, coordination, balance, a healing factor, sharp fangs and claws, and pointed ears.
He was a member of the Canadian Superhero team Alpha Flight as well as X-Factor. http://alphanex.alphaflight.net/index.php/Wild_Child
His powers have recently been upgraded to the point where he actually bested Wolverine in battle.

Although seemingly unremarkable in appearance, the utility belt is one of Batman's most important tools in fighting crime. Composed of a kevlar strap and metal buckle, the utility belt houses ten cylinder cartridges, which vertically clip onto the outside of the belt. The buckle itself contains a miniature camera and two-way radio. A secondary compartment behind the length of the belt houses Batman's supply of collapsible batarangs.
Each of the ten cylinders contains various tools integral to Batman's war on crime, and are interchangeable with other cylinders depending on Batman's needs for the mission. Through the years, Batman has modified the contents of his belt to accommodate various needs.
I wonder if the selection of the utility belt includes all the items that have been contained in the utility belt
because, clearly the best superhero weapon/accessory ever created is batmans trusty bat-shark repellent!
even though theres no such thing as a bat shark.......bwahahahahahahaha
