It's funny, because we still haven't really seen that much of Kylington. Hopefully he stays a good while longer.

Do Flames still hold rights to Rushan Rafikov? That was so long ago

I believe they hold them forever. Capfriendly still has Bobrov, Shastin, Trubachev and Zainullin on their reserve list as well

Check out some of the names on the Flames reserve list. Rafikov isn't even the silliest name still on it... https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/reserve-list/flames

Honestly, by the time Hanifin is traded it wouldn’t be crazy to consider Rafikov one of the top 6 dmen in the organization right now..

Can we call up Jagr from his conditioning stint overseas?

We're trading Markstrom for a 3rd round pick... well if ends up being Vlasic, I'd be okay with that... ten years from now.

I don’t know if Tre gets enough flack for submarining Jaromir Jagr.
If you’re going to sign a 46 year old man, he needs a training camp.
Jags with a full off season program and training camp could’ve held up for the full season.

The Koumontzis thing doesn't make any sense to me. He was drafted out of the USHL and played 5 years in the NCAA, so the Flames shouldn't hold his rights any more. I don't know of any situation that would allow them to keep his rights forever.
For Littler, the Flames hold his rights until he graduates college. Since he still hasn't started yet, that clock hasn't started ticking. If he starts college this fall, he'll graduate in 2028. He could choose to leave college early and the Flames would then only hold his rights through June 1, 2026, but as long as he stays in college, the Flames will hold his rights.

Trade Markstrom. Kipper as EBUG. It’s too perfect.

Huh?
It's not on the athlete to keep himself ready if he thinks he still wants to play?
They were on Jagr's timeline when he signed. He said he was ready to go after whatever time it was (3 weeks)

Moreover I don't think it was a fitness thing that ultimately did him in.
He simply couldn't skate at NHL speed. Period. And that wasn't going to change.

Yeah, I thought it was not great for Jagr to dither around before signing and then it turns out he wasn’t in shape. But it was not very popular to criticize him for it.
