Do the Dlames want to keep the little Stockholm vibe going? Edvisson and Berggren?

Sorry, didn’t mean for my post to sound like I was trying to refute you….
You never know, the Wings are so astoundingly deep in their prospect pool, that they might feel comfortable in giving up a prospect to improve their team now.
At forward, they still have Kasper, Berggren, the Dower-Nilsson brothers, Savage, and Buchelnikov- along with Raymond on the big club.
On D, they still have Sandin-Pelikka, Wallinder, Viro, Gibson, Buium, and Cleveland- along with Seider up on the big club.
They can afford to give a good prospect up if they wanted.

The Hronek and Sandin trades still baffle me.

Any trade with the Leafs should have the condition that if the Flames lose their 1st round pick next year to the Habs then we get the Leafs next 10 1st round picks and Treliving has to streak around the draft floor while the Flames make every single one of those picks.
Otherwise he can #### off lol

Give us Edvinsson and either a 1st or Danielson!

I don't know much about Edvinsson but he sure is big, big=good (our does he have bust written on him?)

I don't think so. I'm of the belief he's a late bloomer like Adam Larsson. And Detroit hasn't rushed him. He's long game acquisition. I just think a Hanifin deal accelerates the NHL timeline for their D corps and we have space for him to play. Or will, you know, once these trades happen.

Thank you for the reply, I kind of hope we make that type of trave for a D prospect like Ed + first +

I just don’t think it’s in Yzerman’s dna to trade a cornerstone piece like Evidsson
He will give up guys like Berggren but not a guy that has potential to be there top pairing dman for a decade

History checks out for sure, he’s not one to trade premium young assets.
I think the only one we saw was when he swapped Drouin for Sergachev.

Maybe, but he knew when to cut bait with Drouin.
And what the habs had in Sergachev

You know that's fair, just to spitball (for fun I don't know if I'm close) I'd love your addition or subtraction to the (start) of a bruins trade proposal for Hanifin. Matthew Poitras, Kristian Kostadinski, 2025 first round pick (+?)

Ive seen some red wings fans suggest 2024 1st + Wallander +berggren + Maata for Hanifin.
I feel like that would be a really good haul.
Berggren is an interesting one. He profiles alot like a Bratt did.

I don't envy Conroy right now.
The team really seems to be gelling and all pulling in the same direction, and the players seem focused and dead set on pushing for a playoff spot.
Pulling two 20+ minute top 4 defensemen from it will be like kicking the rest of the players in the junk and pulling the rug out from under them.
But it still remains the right thing to do for the long term health of this franchise IMO.
I wonder if he'll be able to pull any more rabbits out of his hat? I mean, going from Toffioli to Sharangovich and Lindholm to Kuzmenko really didn't take anything away from the current roster, plus added lots of future pieces. I wonder if he can do that kind of thing on the D side of the equation?

Not a fan of Poitras. I think he will be a middle six at best and he’s not that good. But the Bruins lack a lot of quality prospects so it’s a tough fit. Not an ideal trading partner.

This is my guess. Traded a forward defensive prospect back. If Noah goes i think a defencemen comes back and maybe we weaponize some of our cap space on a longer term player to maximize.
I think if Markstrom is traded it’s because a good defencemen is coming back to help fill the holes with two going out. Still would rather re sign him and trade Rasmuss. Wouldn’t be surprised if eat bread was traded across for a defencemen.

I don’t see an issue with the players. They know the score better than anyone. I think they are having fun partly because of less expectation.

Lifetime Suspension

Conny needs to be a visionary here:
To Calgary:
Cale Makar
To Colorado: The Stanley Cup Suite
Tanev
Hanifin
Coleman
Markstrom
And a whole lot of weirdness to make the cap work. Rentention, third team retention, cap dumps, picks, 4th liners.
Maybe some liquor too.
Do it, Conny!
