That sounds about right... gotta lay some coil before going anywhere. Nothing is worse than sitting on a packed Bus, train with a turtle head poking out.

Also, I find this to be an effective way of waking me up and pumping me up for the day. My alarm clock plays CD's so I have a CD full of goal horns, goal songs.
nothing like The Flames horn blasting in my ear as I crawl out of bed during the "Yahoo!!!" Crack a fart and sing "Shot down in Flames" as i'm brushing my teeth.

Im usually up around 5:45ish...shower, change, grab an apple and a banana and scoot to the office...6 minutes away...make the coffee...check 400 emails...check 200 phone messages...discard them all...drink coffee...drink another coffee....then I wake up and wonder what happened to all the emails and messages! B-)

Geez, a lot of people here get up early.
I'm lucky to have one of those jobs where I can come/go as I please, as long as the work gets done. I usually get up around 8:30-9:00. Weekends I'm usually up by 10:30.

It's different every day, but usually around 8AM or so. That said, when I moved into my new place with a skylight above my bed, I was up at 6:30 for the first few weeks until I got used to the sunlight right on my face in the morning.

On days when I don't have to get up early (school and such) It all depends on when I go to sleep. I am a human clock, I sleep exactly 10 hours no more no less, If I go to sleep at 2:37 I wake up at 12:37-9 within two minutes and I'm a very deep sleeper, but when school comes I break my cycle and sleep for 7 hours, by putting a extremely loud alarm clock to my ears to time seven hours for the few days before school until I get in sync with it.

7AM no matter what day or even what time zone I'm in. If I come home at 4AM, loser passed and can hardly stand, I'll still wake up at 7.
I hate my internal clock. My girlfriend will sleep till noon every day if I don't send the dog up to jump on the bed (especially weekends), and no matter what I can't do the same.
I do take lots of naps though. Naps rule.

If I work out in the morning, 5:00am. If not, 6:00am. Out for work just after 7:00am.
On the weekends, if I'm golfing, 6:00am. If not, I "sleep in" to about 7:00am. I am not someone who can sleep in until 10, 11, 12, etc. It's a blessing and a curse. Since I finished university in '94, the latest I've slept was 9am, and that was because I had the flu.

I have the same problem as you, my friend. I wake up the same time, no matter what time I go to bed. Except I'm incapable of taking naps. If there's any light and/or sound, I can't sleep. I have tried the eye-mask and earplugs but even they can't help me sleep.

Sorry, not down with Cheese.... Mirrors are cheesy.
I'm down with naps though. As often and for as long as possible.

You're a lucky dude, but we have rinks that freeze up here so outdoor shinny is about as fun as surfing.
I tried surfing in Hawaii, and let's just say I'll stick to outdoor shinny. Didn't fare to well
