Flames are kicking tires on #2. According to Boomer.
I'm guessing Bennett, others will guess Reinhart.
Whoa, Boomer speculating Draisaitl is the Flames' guy with the Flames having Multiple meetings with the Deutschland Dangler.

Boomer saying Flames and Draisaitl have had multiple meetings.....Flames want to be big and strong.
They are speculating that Draisaitl might be CGY's guy.

This is me speculating:
This might explain why they want to move to #2, to get Draisaitl ahead of Edmonton.

Seriously, Draisaitl/Monahan with Sven and Gaudreau manning either wings is a pleasant situation!

I like Leon a lot but there is no way i'd take him over Reinhart.

I'd be happy with any of the 'big three' centers. I hope we don't spend too much to move up.

I have Reinhart and Leon almost neck and neck. Love Reinharts hockey I.Q. will say it again nothing maximizes strengths and overcomes weakness than I.Q. However the combo of size and skill in Leon is sure enticing, he is listed at 210 which will probably translate to somewhere around 225 when he is done growing into his frame; that's a bulky dude.
Passion is an intangible that can't be measured and by every account Bennett has it in spades, any comparison to Gilmour is going to attract a lot of attention.
Decisions, Decisions.

Germans typically have that don't quit attitude which I think this kid has. As I said in another thread I think his size & game is built for the Western Conference while I think the other two would excel more in the East.

Get your point totally but still have visions of Johnny Hockey and Reinhart mentally destroying some poor penalty kill, especially if you could get a big bodied finisher ( Nick Ritchie - one of the best shots in the draft perhaps ) to complement the line. however on a 5 on 5 basis I certainly don't have any problems with Leon being in that slot either.

Size matters in this league, especially in the playoffs. I like the way Draisaitl owns the puck. It would be a great pick for Calgary.
It truly is a coin toss on who will end up being the best of the three centers.

The fact that Draisaitl pretty much carried Prince Albert is another reason why I'd want him. I keep saying this, but he and Sean have the same story. If he turns out to have the potential like Sean, we've got two big centers down the middle. We can also check off the size factor. Have Colborne and another big RWer on the wing and then we can afford to have a small Johnny and Sven on the other wing.
I'd love to have as the top 6:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Colborne
Baertschi - Draisaitl - Big RWer

Yup! Like the way you think, great combination of size, skill, I.Q. if that RW is a gamer, a Brown or lets say Stewart type would be hard to complain.

I wouldn't mind replacing Draisaitl with Backlund and slotting in Max Reinhart with his brother Sam on the RW. It all depends on who we pick.

You expect that top 6 to compete in the western conference?

Explain exactly why you don't think they stack up, I assume that's what you are implying.
Monahan is going to be a top flight center, Leon looks to be a top flight center in the making. Johnny I don't need any more convincing that he is the real deal, I see Sven's career as probably similar to Camalleri, a borderline top line winger. I think were just scraping the surface of what Colborne is capable of.
Please explain?
