IMO, they would take Dal Colle over Draisaitl. But I can't see them going any farther down the list than that.
Please God, let Bennett fall to us.

Or Reinhart.

I think Reinhart is more likely to land on our lap than Bennett is now. Florida, Buffalo and Edmonton think highly of Bennett. If that's the case, I'll gladly take S. Reinhart.

@cagedgreat
I'm not so sure, I like Ehlers more than Dal Colle but Nylander appears to have the same quality skill set as Ehlers. And given the Flames lack of depth on RW, would appear to be a more favorable pick.
Really, this draft is going to be really entertaining to watch unfold. This year is a year where almost anything can happen and there will be no set play list.
I really do not think even the pundits will go "Wow that pick was right off of the board" if a team took someone like Ehlers or Nylander over Draisaitl or Dal Colle.

If Draisaitl says that he may be the largest blockhead in the history of hockey.

I can't help but think (especially since I'm biased due to my brother in law's relation to the 3) that drafting Sam Reinhart would include the added advantage of being able to lure Griffin over at some point in his career.

For some reason I totally dislike the idea of getting these guys just because they're brothers. It brings unneeded expectations and pressure. It's a neat story, but beyond that no thanks.

If we get Sam Reinhart, does it out pressure on Flames management to put Max in the lineup full time?

Agree with this scenario - of course, like many others have suggested Nylander could find his way to Vancouver as well, but I'm a huge Ehlers fan.
I'm more intrigued by what the Flames do beyond the 1st round as we should get a damn fine player anyhow in the 1st.

No but I think he has earned it or will in the very near future. Think Max will be a full on Flame by the end of 14/15. That would also put him there before his brother of Sam stays in Jr.

You'll have to elaborate what expectations and pressure there would be on them that stems solely from being brothers on the same team because I can't think of any.
All three are talented youngsters with good size and hockey vision/IQ, being brothers is just a nice bonus. If we draft Sam Reinhart, it'll be because he's the best player available at #4. If we go after Griffin Reinhart it'll be because he's a solid blue-chip d-man prospect, something we're very short on.
All three are also at different stages of their development. Max is probably ready to graduate to full-time NHL status. Griffin's spent the last two years after his draft year in junior but sounds ready for the next step. Sam will likely be sent back to junior as well.

I just spoke to someone employed by the Flames (i don't want to say names) that I believe would be closely involved in the drafting process and take it for what it is worth but he told me that the collective scouts don't believe Ekblad is a Franchise D or even on the same level of Jones. He said that they are all divided on the Sams and that they really like Drasaitl but don't believe he will slip by Edmonton. He said a lot of the scouts are really high on Ritchie even more than Da Colle and think he could be a top 4 player. He didn't seem to act as though Da Colle was an option.

By 'collective scouts' do you mean it is Flames' scouts who believe this or is that a general sentiment going around the league?
Another poster with inside info in this thread (Sidney Crosby's Hat) said the likelihood of Reinhart/Bennett/Ekblad being the top 3 in any order is quite low - which probably matches what you're saying about Edmonton likely drafting Draisaitl.
Despite what people are saying about Ekblad, I still think he is the best prospect in the draft and goes #1.

If they take him over Ehlers, MDC, Draisaitl, or the Sams I'll be pissed.

Ya I'm not too sure why everyone seems to be down on Draisatl all of a sudden. Big bodied high IQ center, seems to be a win for whoever drafts him.

I don't think anyone is down on Draisaitl - he is a quality prospect, it's more that we would consider ourselves lucky if one of Bennett/Reinhart dropped to #4.
There seems to be more concerns in Draisaitl's game than the other two centres, and even if these concerns are overexaggerated and he reaches his full potential, it might be that Bennett/Reinhart simply have more upside than Draisaitl.
