I always hear things I've never heard before on Vibe 98.5.

If you like electronica, beatport.com is great.

I told you two years ago to get Last.fm and I stand by that suggestion.

BBC Radio 6 and 2, Jazz FM out of London, Roots FM (reggae) out of London.

I picked up an 'internet radio' from London Drugs for $99, it hooks into my WiFi network, I can easily move it around the house and into the yard, it does the same as the computor but due to the convenience and mobility I use it more, I sit in the yard listening to BBC documentories or the like. It also has a data buffer so is less likely to drop in and out and a favourite channels selection. Strongly recomend one for a 100 or so.

I just tried Grooveshark for the first time based on this thread. Its a great service. Are they paying royalties to the artists/labels to have them in their database?

One thing about it I'm not necessarily keen on, is it seems something like this would take away the impetus for people to buy music. Why buy something when you could just pull it up on grooveshark and listen to it on demand?

For classic rock, my recommendation is The Moody Blues, a lot of people haven't heard very many of their songs except for "Night in White Satin". The album 'Days of Future Passed' is better then Sgt.Pepper and Pet Sounds, IMHO.

So yeah, download that MIX up.
