I just tried Grooveshark for the first time based on this thread. Its a great service. Are they paying royalties to the artists/labels to have them in their database?
One thing about it I'm not necessarily keen on, is it seems something like this would take away the impetus for people to buy music. Why buy something when you could just pull it up on grooveshark and listen to it on demand?
