He's one of the many reasons. I'm a huge fan of the whole German league. It was passed down to me by my dad because he has followed them for a very long time.

its actual. we're keeping it from moving to the river... its a slow process is all, all dependant on the groundwater movement through the area and the hydrogeological flows and pressures from the river.

Hey all. New to this forum. Saw a link from sports net and thought I would check it. This thread seems a good a place to start as any.

Born: Yellowknife, NWT

Reside in Vancouver but have lived coast to coast and just about everywhere inbetween. Still trying to get back to Calgary though.

Occupation: Electronics engineer/technician for a post prodcution house in Van..

Favorite teams: Flames of course (since day one). Don't follow CFL to much but I do like the Stamps. More of a NFL fan and have been an Eagle fan since Buddy roamed the side lines. Go Jays Go as well.

Play lots of hockey still, gearing up for a playoff game tonight. Throw in some baseball and lacrosse and it keeps me fairly busy.

Addiction:......definitely beer. It has always been there for me and has yet to let me down. Actually I did have a flat one once which is kinda a let down but his other brothers and sisters made up for it in the end....

I work in movie industry so I have been to a few parties with a few famous people. DeNiro, Penn, Robin Williams, Halle Berry, Bennifer. Met tons of Flames back in the mid 80's. Not famous myself nor do I wish to be...

Claims to fame or brushes with fame: Well the reason I am a Flames fan goes back to when I was 9 I was at a Fireman Vs. Police charity hockey game (under protest -- I was not a hockey fan) and Shean Donovan was there and he spent the hour and a half he was there just talking to me and he told me how the Sharks were having practice the next day and i should check it out! The rest is history I've been following his career since, and kept in contact with him and his wife over all these years. Although the Flames are the first team he's played for that I actually cared about all the others i was routing for Shean and not the whole team! But hey how can you not love all the guys on the flames they are such a cool group. But anyways because i get to go under after the games when Shean is in town I have been able to meet a lot of NHL players from all the teams he has played for.
Most Treasured Hockey Possession: I have a game worn Jersey collection, I have a Shean game worn jersey from every team Shean has played for and One of each of the three Flames Jerseys, but my coolest one by far is the Jersey Shean Wore in game 3 of last seasons Stanley Cup Finals. It was the one he scored in!

No... I've had to pay for all my jerseys! i used to joke with him and say the only reason I had to get a job was to pay for the Jerseys and hockey cards!

I've never been able to ask him for anything... Up untill the 2003-2004 season I didn't even have a stick of his cuz i felt wierd asking him for one, luckily he just offered! Although he did get me tickets to all the 3rd round games in San Jose last season, so that was REALLY cool of him!
