Wow, seriously?

Care to elaborate on how Brad Treliving "is slime"?

I'll weigh in ...

I like Treliving, I think he just gets thing done.

He's not perfect, for sure. But then the best don't bat 1.000, they are the best if they have a .600 record likely.

Loved a lot of the personnel decisions, think he blew the goaltending thing this year, which he's owned.

Personally I think what he did today is the tough thing, or the right thing to do. The wrong thing is to know it's coming but waste a year letting the team struggle to start the season and then gas him.

This puts the cross hairs on him completely, which is seemingly where he wants it.

The question was poorly worded but I believe the OP was getting at...who is to blame: the GM or the coach??

How about the LW situation? Gaudreau is the only legit one. With Hudler gone that basically leaves Ferland as the 2nd line LW by default.

Just wait until the new coach gives Masonraymond yet another chance. Bollig will still be around doing nothing as well. Wideman wasn't Treliving's signing, but I doubt any coach is going to get 40+ point production from him again.

I'm worried Treliving is going to take too long with the "process" and someone else will scoop Boudreau up. I'm also scared Randy Carlyle is going to be interviewed.

I don't like the guy I don't have to elaborate because you don't like it. Slimy, weasel, rat, fink, worm pick one that is my "opinion" of the guy.

That's great. Thanks for that rational, sane contribution to the discussion.

LW has very little depth as well. I am even more worried Treliving will ask about Tippett.

Lol these poll results reflect my own reaction to the question. Holy crap now. One of the best GM's in the league right now.

Ok, but would you mind stating what you're basing your opinion on? I don't care if that's the conclusion you've arrived at, but it seems quite contrary to the consensus, so it's probably something you should qualify.

Lets just say that, absent any substance upon wish to base your opinion, the sentiments you are expressing far more reflect yourself than your target.

Most people who have radical, nonsensical opinions at least try to qualify them to lend some credence as to why they think the way they do. You not wanting to elaborate on that bizarre stance doesn't surprise me at all, and leads me to believe conversing further with you about it wouldn't be very fruitful. Feel free to leave it at that. I'm good.

To me, the most perplexing non-move was keeping the goaltending and special teams coaches. The two biggest problems with the team and they stay?

If Treliving is turning over the keys for his new coach to make his own hires, the HC seems more likely to be a retread, imo.

I don't think either deserved to be fired but it is what it is. This is why BT is a hockey GM and I am not.

Personally I blame video games and the influence of Hippity Hoppity music for this thread.

This bothers me as well. Like wtf is he thinking? Then again, see my earlier post.

Very few people share your opinion of him. To make a statement like that in his character deserves some explanation in my opinion. You should t be surprised that people want more than "that's just the way I feel"

I'd say asking for a reason for the opinion isn't exactly asking for a "symposium". As it stands you have an opinion based on nothing. Don't act surprised when it's treated accordingly.
