Just pure speculation by me, but I don't think Quick is 100%. They may have rushed him back from injury to try and stay in the playoff race.

Bishop won't come cheap.
The Kings have such a poor future ahead of them, and a move like this only cements that. Wouldn't their 1st round pick have to be going the other way? Odds are strong that it's a pick in the 10th-14th range.... and they're going to move that pick, for a back-up goaltender for 20 games?

The Flames little run of late must have spooked them.
If they get Bishop without Tampa retaining any salary, that pretty much takes the Kings out of the mix on any other big deadline acquisitions.
