I tip higher than you then, because I tip more than 20%, like 25%-30% and sometimes more. When I am at a bar, usually it's $2 per drink, unless it's like something simple like a draft beer. If it's a bottle beer, I don't tip for that unless I get conversation or something, because that's no work hardly, less work than the McDonald's cashier does to fill your cup with ice and drink at the mall. I go by how much WORK the person did for me. I feel conversation is a job, because it's similar to talking your problems out with a doctor, so the person should be paid well.
For example, if I am at a night club STANDING getting a drink, I won't give anything for a beer of any kind. That's less work than a cashier at the mall does at McDonald's for no tip.
It all depends on the AMOUNT OF WORK the person does for their money *AND* if they did the order correct, went in the correct order, and didn't ignore you to clean up.

Answer these questions:
1. Do I make them not write my order down?
2. Do I make them not compare their written order or tickets to the food for obvious errors?
3. Do I make them not compare the menu prices to our check?
4. Do I make them go out of order in which request came in?
5. Do I make them buss a table before getting my check or whatever I asked for?

You make unreasonqble requests, tell servers how to do their job, make excessive substitutions and modifications, get annoyed when servers serve multiple tables on the same trip, and generally, from what I can tell, act arrogent and superior to the server.
Soe based on the above the servers choose to give you bad service so they can give better service to others. Generally people like you tip poorly so because a server wants to MAKE MONEY they choose to give you worse service. Now you might be a great tipper but it doesnt matter because servers are SMART and overall bowing to the whims of the slave driver is not an efficient way to maximize tips.
So i will say it agian, by emulating a customer type that tips poorly you are increasing the odds of getting poor service.

Because then you aren't getting "SERVED" like a server or bartender would. It's just like MCDONALD'S, DUHHHHH. WHY should I have to EXPLAIN this, SERIOUSLY????? Ask yourself, do *I* have to GET UP TO GET IT? THEN WHY THE HELL SHOULD I TIP FOR SOMETHING I HAVE TO GET UP TO GET THAT'S *THE SAME OR LESS WORK* THAN MCDONALD'S CASHIERS DO AT THE MALL, HUH?
I am not talking about mixed drinks. I am talking about beer.

I just had a hemorrhage when I imagined what her clerical work must look like.
My god, this is sad. I don't think I'm going to post in here anymore.

Springs1 - I think we've exhausted this topic as much as we can, you've made your argument over and over again and believe me, it's been heard.
So let me ask, aside from ranch dressing, and your crusade against the service industry, what other non-dining related hobbies/interest do you have? Are you into movies? Books? Music? And good TV shows your into these days?

Springs1 I love to call you a bunch of names, but I am sure you have heard most of them already.
How much more time are you planning on wasting advancing your pathetic position.
I'd have to imagine that you are fighting the battle on several fronts at any one time. Get away from the Internet and go walk past the Applebee's and get some fresh air......

Karaoke, Singing, Dancing(loved to dance all my life since I was a kid). I have more confidence to dance in front of a crowd(I have) than to make a speech.
I like all kind of shows like Cops, Young and the Restless, My Strange Addition, Game Shows like The Price is Right, Family Feud, and sometimes Wheel of Fortune, World's Dummest, World's Wildest Police Videos, Teen Mom, True Life, etc.
NOT into books, I HAVE ALWAYS HATED READING BOOKS. IT'S IN *MY* OPINION SO F'ING BORING!! I especially hate fiction, because I feel there's no point into putting effort into reading something that's fake.
I don't mind and like reading blogs, but honestly, I would prefer if you could have it read it to me personally. I HATE READING a book. When it comes to reading, I'd almost rather do anything than read a book.

As an aside, I like the new direction this thread is taking.

Interesting, well Springs1, I might suggest you take some time off from your internet crusade to partake in some of those hobbies. Kick back and watch some True Life, take that husband of yours out dancing, just get away from the computer for a little while.
Even if you're 100% right about the service industry you're not doing a good job of convincing others, and I suspect you'd have more enjoyable and productive use of your time if you didn't spend so much of it on the internet discussing this single topic.
I still think you're a troll.
