If something like this every happens again I think we need to play nicer. She was staying around and actually answering all the questions but left when people were personally insulting her.
Just like the old bumper sticker
Please CP gods, give us another epic troll and we promise not to piss this one away

I don't go for a coffee that often. Its only when I'm out running errands. I work out of my house and have a good espresso machine so I usually just make my own.

Back to the more important topic of Springs1, I found this gem in the lengthy, lengthy comment string to her pair of livejournal posts from ... 2007, I think?
Quote:
I have been MARRIED since MAY 2002 YOU IDIOTIC FOOL. I have had in the past a 3yr 3 month relationship that the guy decided to move to another country. I had a year and 4month relationship in high school. I also have had a few dates after that relationship ended in high school. I also went on 10 different dates off the internet and met my husband on yahoo personals. He asked me to marry him in a little less than a month, which we were engaged a year and a half, then got married. 160 people were at our wedding. I had 4 bridesmaids. My point is, YOU ARE STUPID!!!!!! I am a sexy girl that can get anyone she wants. Some things that have stopped me from getting dates when I was younger are being shy and guys only wanting sex instead of a LONG TERM relationship. I NEVER would go up to a guy to ask him on a date, because I was too chicken #### to do it. That's why the internet was so cool, because you can get rejected without evening meeting in person. I am also picky with people that I had gone out with. I didn't want a smoker or a person that had wanted pets in their home. Those are issues I WILL NOT tolerate in a home I live in. Pets are nasty living in a house with their peeing and pooing. Smoking in the house would could give me lung cancer or heart disease even though I don't smoke. My point is, I CAN get people and even had offers since I've been engaged and married even. One guy at Wal-Greens was asking to see my ring, because somehow he didn't believe I was married. He wanted me, but too bad, I am HAPPILY MARRIED.

So she considers chilli's and outback to be fine dining and hangs out at Walgreens.
Maybe Wednesday night at the trailer park is a nice dinner of frozen tater tots followed by a rousing game of charades.

Dear God. How could you let this happen? How could you allow this wonderful woman to be removed from the eligible market?

I'm actually starting to feel bad for her. She's clearly mentally ill.

The best thing I've put on my smartphone the last few years is the Starbucks app.
I order my coffee, they scan my phone, and I walk away. No tip. For a coffee that I pay $3.62 for, they can afford to pay employees a wage higher than minimum.
Starbucks is a half step above fast food. I don't tip at Mcdonalds or Tims, so I'm not tipping at Starbucks either. None of the above are considered "service industry" in my book, and as such get paid a wage that doesn't include tips.

I think we're being duped by somebody who is spreading more of this "Spring1" stuff around. Seriously, would this thread have even shown up on a Google search by the time this person found this thread and started posting?
Colour me skeptical.

I am starting to lean towards the theory (I don't remember who brought it up first) that Springs is actually a waiter or group of waiters who look for internet debates on the merits of tipping and then join in with such an extreme viewpoint that no one will possibly agree with them. Their goal is to make people who tip poorly feel bad for wait staff and to prevent any sane discussion about the merits of tipping.

You'd be amazed how fast CP shows up in searches. This is a pretty active forum, Google is watching.

I've read a thread where someone is asking something and there's zero replies or even posted a question thread myself (i.e. it's a brand new thread), gone into Google to search, and have that thread be the #1 result.
Or other cases where there's a thread about some business or product or website, and then someone registers from that business/product (like in the SEO thread), or we get a cease and desist letter claiming defamation from them.
Google totally is watching.
