3. Don't stop in the middle of making a customer's drink to chit-chat. If the bartender wants to talk, do it either WHILE the bartender is fixing the drink or AFTER, but don't interrupt someone's time that could be drinking their drink faster, that's just NOT right. I had a few times that happened to me. I asked for a white russian, and the lady bartender stops RIGHT in the middle of making my white russian BEFORE she poured the milk to stop completely to just chit chat. She got ZERO tip for being rude to a customer. It's HER JOB to serve the public, NOT to play around. Another time, it was around Mardi Gras time at TGIFridays. I was sitting at the bar and the guy bartender STOPS making my margarita to tell this lady customer that was sitting at the bar about mardi gras stuff. He got ZERO too for PLAYING ON THE JOB. He should be either talking WHILE he makes my drink or talk AFTERWARD, but NEVER, EVER, interrupt someone's order. That's just RUDE and SELFISH. CUSTOMER'S ORDERS COME FIRST!

on’t ASSUME something like this: “Do you want another margarita”, if the person has ordered their first drink a margarita, because maybe the customer wants something else, so the customer has to say “NO”, which if the server would just say “Would you like anything else”, it would save time and wouldn’t be PUSHING a SPECIFIC TYPE of item on someone. WHY NOT just ask if they want another DRINK instead of being that specific? The waitress at Bennigan’s that I had this type of incident happen with in 2003

10. NEVER make COMMENTS about what a person orders.

I've had 3 servers do this to me. Their tip went down(which it wasn’t possible one of the times, because I had already paid), because their comments were mean, nosy, and unnecessary as well as totally INAPPROPRIATE.

One time I ordered 4 sides of ranch with my salad and mozzarella sticks that I ordered as my meal. The waiter said "You know it's a small salad" after I told him I wanted 4 sides of ranch. I ended up telling him I like the ranch with the mozzarella sticks as well as the salad.

After reviewing the awesomeness of this thread I've learned two key life lessons.

I'm never going to a Chilli's or Outback built in the shadows of a belltower.

I want to eat meals at those restaurants at the same time as Spring1 because there won't be enough mucus, semon, pubic hair and spit to go on my plate after she gets done ordering.

Its great to order sides, but ordering a hamburger with a double side of mayo Catsup and Tartar sauce is just oddly weird.

So is this woman some sort of professional restaurant/service industry complainer? Her entire existence consists of signing up for every website/blog/forum/comments section that talks about restaurants or servers of any kind just to talk #### about them?

This is absolutely fascinating. This woman may not know about the NHL, the Flames or even Calgary and yet she's all angry sitting in front of her computer thousands of KMs away just ripping on every waiter she's ever had.

Was she just doing her daily research on new threads/websites/articles on tips and servers and she saw this one and signed up just to complain?

You'd think after 7 years of posting the same crap on the internet that she would let it all go and move on with her life. But nope, she's still shoving this crap down people's throats on several different forums and website articles. It's like its her life mission to keep spreading the same thing over and over again until someone agrees with her. Well guess what honey: they won't. People have continuestly mocked youon several occasions and there is even a frickin translator made after you. Give it a rest and move on with your life. I must say, this was a fascinating read. I burned through my whole lunch hour reading this thread. I don't think I've ever seen someone so passionate about something so trivial. It's like she's on a decade long crusade to purge the world of bad servers. It's almost to a fanatical level. If she's an internet troll, I have to give her full credit. It takes some kinda dedication to keep pulling off what she's doing.
