Trolls looking to wind people up usually use 1-2 sentence posts and just play devils advocate. For her first post (her first post ever on CP) she wrote one of the longest posts in the history of this forum, and actively looked on google for the pictures of it.

Now my question is.....how did she arrive at CP? Is her husband a poster here? Will she return tonight?

I'd like to take Springs & her husband out for a drink at a scotch or wine bar, just for the train wreck factor.

Just to watch the steam start firing out of ears as the server explains that perhaps the 18 year old single malt they selected wouldn't be best enjoyed in a mix of 2/3rds coke zero + 1/6th diet coke + 1/6th regular coke.

Going to high quality just restaurants for the condiments, slathering everything in ranch dressing, multiple cokes in a sitting, getting all angry when she can't stuff her fat face the way she wants....

Anyone else picturing a female version of Fat Bast*rd?

Read the third comment down. It looks like she has posted the same thing before
http://www.charlestoncitypaper.com/c...on?oid=1068773

Continuing on that trend it looks like she has posted and defended the same rant all over the internet. My new theory is that a waitress (or waiter, I won't judge) slept with her husband while on shift. Possibly using the ranch in the process.

Does service and the quality of food combine for the tip? I have noticed that lots of servers expect a tip and will feel offended if you don't.

What are your opinions on this topic?

**** in very expensive food establishments I know they are stacked with sous chefs and head chefs, the service should be prime, hence the tip higher then 20%?

I think we all need to thank tenyardrambo for starting this thread.

Without it, we could not have experienced the joy that is Springs1

Thank you tenyardrambo

As a former server, who paid his way through university from tips and minimum wage, you would never sit in my section after the first time you pulled all of that crap. I'm definitely willing to bust my butt to make money. I was very good at my job and had many regular customers. Your grief was not worth the 45 cents you would have left for me.

A key to my success was taking care of the hostesses. If someone like you came in again, I would make sure if you returned that you would be in someone else's section. I'm not lazy and I do care about my customers, but I'm not a monkey willing to dance for your unreasonable demands. Because I had to tip out about 5% to kitchen staff, bussers, etc., I'd probably lose money when you sat in my section.

YES IS ALWAYS IS UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE BROUGHT OUT THE FOOD, WHICH EVEN THEN, IF MY SERVER PUT IN THE ORDER WRONG, IT’S THEIR FAULT!! My husband and I have had a situation once where our waitress put in the order wrong. She put in ribs instead of a burger. My husband ordered a burger, not ribs, but another server brought out ribs. That wasn’t that other server’s fault, because she can only go by the ticket and the kitchen staff can only go by the ticket.

SERVERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERCHARGES OF ANY KIND
It seems today a lot of servers think they are NOT responsible for a menu price not matching the check price when it's check time in restaurants, which is NOT TRUE. The fact is, my server can take a menu and verify each price that is listed. A lot of restaurants do NOT list their soft drink or tea prices and a lot do not list their alcohol prices.

Edit: Actually, it looks like Springs1 doesn't understand how blogs work or just likes to start a new one for every rant. http://www.blogger.com/profile/16330862403978274454

And I don't think there are any Ruby Tuesday's in Canada, are there?

Here is my favorite Springs quote from another forum so far. I know how I am going to spend my lunch hour.

Quote:
My typical burger order can be the following:

Burger w/cheese
ONLY:
1. Lettuce
2. Cheddar Cheese
3. Onions
4. Bacon-VERY, VERY CRISPY

Fries-No Salt or Seasoning, Not overdone

2 sides of mayo
1 side of mustard
1 side of ranch
1 side of tartar sauce(if the restaurant's tartar sauce is good I will order that).

So what does spring do? Searches "servers" on Google then find a comment thread to spaz out on?

Incredible passion she has on this subject.

like others i am late to this party - that was an epic post by springs1 - thanks to you for making my work day interesting.......i feel bad for you because you are getting all of this bad service, while i am on the opposite end of the spectrum as I can not recall the last time i went out to eat and had a mixup with my order (for the record i only go out to eat about once per week - so perhaps i am not going out as much as you and for the most part i opt for family friendly fare served at places that end with 's) - although there have been a few times where I have requested additional sour cream for my baked potato and the food arrived in front of me with a regular helping of sour cream thus causing me to make a second request for sour cream.

i should also note that i am fine with my food being cooked with someone else's food......i don't request a fresh cow be slaughtered everytime i want a burger.

i would say that i typically tip in the 10.0% range.

Just look this picture above as to HOW MUCH VALUABLE TIME THIS SERVER WASTED. This server wrote "Thank You!", Circled their name, Drew a smiley face, Drew waves, and Wrote "Happy Holidays!" If servers have time to WASTE like that, they DO HAVE THE TIME TO MAKE SURE AN OVERCHARGE DOESN'T GET TO A CUSTOMER!

Wow it's only April, who would have thought I would find thread of the year material in the how much to tip thread?

How much spit do you think she has eaten at Chili's and Outback over the years? I'm thinking she is probably about 2 or 3 litres deep by now.

I go by my SERVICE, NOT THAT ####! Honestly, if I had a server that wrote all of that, I'd take points OFF for WASTING THAT MUCH TIME when I would be waiting to LEAVE.
My personal fav from her blog.
