I dunno. Wayne said he's the best prospect since...well, since himself. Generally though I agree and McDavid = NG anyways

I just don't see how things are supposed to change so much. The players on the ice haven't changed. Is McLellan supposed to instil hockey sense in taylor hall? Teach Nuge to be a strong number 1/2 centre? Make Yakupov play defense? It'll still be the same rotten core and now McDavid is supposed to somehow rise outta the ashes of their 3rd rebuild and make this a competitive team. Don't see it happening and I think it'll be detrimental to his (McD) development.

Its on Chiarelli to make the bold moves that MacTavish didn't/couldn't. If McLellan or McDavid are to have any success, the team needs to undergo drastic personnel changes, but I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said a million times over.

Can someone make a bold moves Chirelli GIF? Or possibly photoshop Chirelli on George Costanza's body?

So if McClellan cracks the whip and starts making players accountable for their suckage, who is the first of the 6x6 club whiners to demand a trade?

Nuge or Hall. Nuge is no longer the 1C and this is no longer "Hall's team". I'm leaning more towards Hall since if I were Nuge, I'd be perfectly content playing 2nd fiddle and getting 6 mil per.

I think it's just a matter of time before Lucic becomes an oiler. Either by trade or ufa in a year. Oilers will pay the $6 million plus to have him play with Mcdavid.

To say "He, of course, will be better than any player the Flames have ever had", like it's a forgone conclusion is quite bold. Especially considering Theo Fleury, Jarome Iginla, Joe Nieuwendyk, Al Macinnis, Lanny MacDonald, have all played for the Flames and McJesus has yet to step on NHL ice.

Hey could be good. Could be really good. Could even be better than all of those players. But in no way does it allow for the "he will, of course.." level of arrogance.

Lucic is going to get an absolutely massive UFA contract from someone if Boston doesn't extend him. He won't be worth it, but it'll still happen.

You're right. Its almost as though its something the Oilers would do.

The Oilers are going to be McDavid's team, and he's going to be the #1 center. Don't know what the issue is.

It should be Nikita Nikitin's team!

Because, it's stupid to think professional athletes will pout and demand a trade because of McDavid. No doubt they're thrilled to have him as a teammate for the foreseeable future.

The trade thought was because of a random speculation about a coaching clash. It wasn't because of McDavid's arrival. CroFlames even specifically mentioned if he was Nugent-Hopkins he'd be fine playing behind him.

If this happens, can that happen was the premise. Not because of McDavid.

And professional athletes demand trades all the time.

Okay, McDavid comment was a mistake. No idea what happened there.

A coaching clash? You mean a coach doing his job? 'which Oilers star will pout about actually having to compete in all areas so much that he demands a trade' was the jist of the post, which is crazy. This is looking to be their best chance for team success at the NHL level so far in their careers, to suggest they'll take their ball and go home is ludicrous.

What? Is he going to run over McDavid with a Zamboni?
