If they aren't good enough to hustle? Sure, they're putting in effort. Fine, they are trying and deserve a big tall glass of 15th place for the effort they put in!
Tell yourself anything you want, if you can watch this team and say they are givign 100% of what they have during every shift, then good for you.
Less tallented teams have done more than this. They look like they're just going through the motions without emotion.

I listened to Kerr when I had to live in Edmonton for a year due to my job, Kerr was a big Oiler fan and booster, his Flame excitement is manufactured and phoney.
The way he is playing today shows me some of the reasons why Hartley keeps giving this guy chances, because even when things aren't going his way, he never lets up on the puck, and is just flying around out there.
I think that's exactly what it is. It doesn't matter if he's been on a 50 game goal-less streak, he's going to keep plugging away and doing what he can (despite lacking the finish of a regular scorer)
Some of these guys should take notes. If things aren't going your way, you don't just then take the night off, start floating, or wait in the slot for a set up. You keep givin' er all over the ice. That's only way anything is going to improve for you.
Good on Blake. Hope he goes all out in the 3rd, too.

All I gotta say is thank god we don't have to see the kings again this season.
The ####ty thing is, if realignment goes in , we will be in the same div as LA, Ana, and PHX. All teams that are bigger and have pushed us around historically. We need a shift towards size before next year starts or things could get pretty grim next year.
