The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
Parks and Recreation cut-up Chris Pratt, who this summer fronted the blockbuster film Guardians of the Galaxy, has been tapped to Star-Lord over the NBC sketch series’ Season 40 premiere, airing Sept. 27.

Good choice. He seems like he'd add something good to some of the ridiculous sketches on SNL. I think he's great. I've liked him since he was on Everwood, many moons ago.
Also looking forward to seeing a new cast after some of the previous season's cast members were axed.
“This is about a new era, what feels appropriate for now,” Mr. Michaels said. “That’s why we did a lot of combinations and tests, and this is kind of where we came out.” For the first time, the ‘Weekend Update” segment will have two men at the anchor desk.
Mr. Michaels reasserted his confidence in Ms. Strong as one of the show’s best players and said the move would give her the opportunity to appear more frequently in sketches this season, a move Ms. Strong herself had asked for.
Mr. Che appeared as recently as Aug. 26 on “The Daily Show” when he starred in a much-talked-about segment with Jon Stewart about trying to find a safe location from which to report on the shooting of a black teenager.
Mr. Michaels said that he would probably be making one or two more additions to the cast this season but that he had not yet reached a decision.
One preoccupation for Mr. Michaels is a planned three-hour special in February celebrating the 40th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” and he has come up with another idea to promote that celebration.
Yeah I prefer Cecily over Colin. That said, I've seen Che a few times on Weekend Update. Seems like a pretty funny guy. And if Cecily gets more screen time, I'm okay with that as well.
Saturday Night Live’s third episode of the season will be hosted by former cast member Bill Hader, NBC announced Wednesday.
Hader will host the October 11 episode with musical guest Hozier.

Darrell Hammond, who holds the title of longest-tenured cast member in Saturday Night Live history, has a new gig at Studio 8H: Hammond is replacing legendary announcer Don Pardo as the show’s announcer. Pardo died in August at the age of 96.
Hammond, a cast member from 1995 to 2009, was a natural choice for the job, having previously stepped in for Pardo when the announcer was out due to his health. “I sat in for Don when he had laryngitis several times over the years,” Hammond told USA Today. “He was a lovely person. When he passed, they wanted me; it felt right for me to be the one to replace him. It’s been a very improbable life; I didn’t expect something like this, but it feels real good.”
