Great episode.

I feel like Bargatze gets the tone of SNL.

The waterslide sketch was hilarious.

How #### were Coldplay

Blech, yuck

Bargatze was good, played similar role in every skit he was in, but did it well

It’s your own fault for not knowing they suck in advance.

They played to Nate’s persona really well. This was the first SNL in a long time where I watched every sketch, except the cold open. I always skip them because the stunt casting is annoying and they go on too long.

I have always known they sucked

maybe the most overrated band in history.

Cold Open was good.

I recently found The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers podcast where they're going back and discussing all their digital shorts and the SNL episodes overall.

As a result I went and downloaded all of Season 31 to rewatch and it's kind of shocking how great virtually every cast member was.

Main cast: Fred Armisen, Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Darrell Hammond, Seth Meyers, Finesse Mitchell, Chris Parnell, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Horatio Sanz, Kenan Thompson

Featured players: Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig.

It's a stellar podcast if you like SNL. They go pretty deep on the entire show process and not just their own. And it's true as Seth keeps referring to it as AN golden era, it really was a murderer's row. And then later crossed over with Moynahan, Killam, Bayer, Bryant, Strong and McKinnon, there was a solid 10-15 year stretch where SNL overall was really good and kinda just finished up over the last few seasons.

That was absolutely terrible for the first 2 minutes.

I was legitimately shocked at how far SNL had fallen.

Then it totally redeemed itself!

I was concerned it was going to be a musical episode all night after the monologue and first two skits which would have sucked.

This week was kind of a letdown, and even though I'm not a fan of Grande, she actually did well. The material was just weak.

Stevie Nicks sounding older just gives added gravitas to her voice. A+ performance.

IMHO, that was the weakest episode in quite a while.

Grande creeps me out. She's like a doll or something. Super talented but her talking voice is like she has a shock collar if she speaks too loud, and her eyes are black like a shark.

She has had better performances on Weekend Update because she was losing her composure last night but some of the funniest stuff that SNL has is when Sherman goes after Jost.

This popped up for me, a 'recent' classic.
