The truth is that the nearly 18 percent spike in spending in fiscal 2009 — for which the president is sometimes blamed entirely — was mostly due to appropriations and policies that were already in place when Obama took office.
...
But it’s also true that Obama signed a number of appropriations bills, plus other legislation and executive orders, that raised spending for the remainder of fiscal 2009 even above the path set by Bush. By our calculations, Obama can be fairly assigned responsibility for a maximum of $203 billion in additional spending for that year.
|
The deficit wasn't just the result of increased spending in 2009. Tax revenues dropped dramatically. Obama chose not only to spend on a budget based on much higher economic forecasts, but to add to that budget.

So "Obama ... bad"
Can we just assume that's your point here and move on?
edit: nm, missed your post on the previous page. Regardless, I think a Republican stance of "crazy spending Dems" is pretty hypocritical since Bush spend like a drunk frat boy at a whore house AND cut revenues through taxes. But hey, when has hypocrisy ever stopped a political part from running their mouth.

It sounds like it was more of Wilson wrestling and fending then throwing blows in the car, that would explain why there weren't bruises and cuts on his hands.

Except Wilson claimed Brown struck him with closed-fist, full-force punches in his testimony. I'm not saying that Wilson is lying for sure, but there are a major inconsistencies in his story that the DA and jury members should've questioned, and likely also should've been questioned in a trial.

The truly crazy thing is that the local District Attorney's office was permitted (as I understand it) to handle the prosecution of a police officer in its own jurisdiction. That is a shocking conflict of interest (that would never happen in Canada). Unsurprisingly, it has led to allegations that the District Attorney purposely undermined its own prosecution.

Again, contributing to the belief that the odds are stacked against the average (black) citizens of the region because an overwhelming (white) bureaucracy looking out for their own.
None of this rage is misplaced in the slightest.

Full force, closed fist side swings.
You don't get it do you? The grand jury had access and was presented all of the evidence and THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TO INDICT. Let enough enough to get to beyond a reasonable doubt. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. People do not understand how grand juries work, and its a foreign concept so I don't blame them, but come on. This isn't a regular court case, people acting as if the DA needs to be acting like Johnny Cochrane.
It's like 9/11 truthers all over again.

And now the evidence has been presented to everyone and there's been a lot of criticism of the grand jury and the DA. What exactly is hard to understand about that? How much of the official evidence have you actually read?

wrong, it's the way you dress, walk, talk, the look on your face, your demeanor, your body language. To make such a statement shows either a purposeful or inadvertent misunderstanding.
white people acting like thugs
hey look black people not acting like thugs

What a tired cliched argument. Such a victimizing attitude. If they want to help their situation they'd give the police no reason to suspect them thus when the police do shoot them there are no excuses and less grey area. You are using emotional reasoning.
There's a difference between should and is, ideally we'd live in a world where we can all do what we want but that's not this world. If your goal is to not get shot by police don't act like a thug, if you are a women who doesn't want to get raped don't wear provocative clothing alone outside at night in isolated areas, if you don't want your money stolen don't dangle it out your back pocket. These are solutions to problems that shouldn't exist but do.
