Lack is down so early...Flames seem to know it with Gio's goal and the two crossbars

Smid-Engelland have looked much better than Engelland-Wideman.
Russell is the worst defenseman tonight. But still not terrible.

Engelland has looked very solid to me. Noticed him rubbing out a lot of guys into the boards, using strength to shut them down. Smid I haven't noticed as much but thats not a bad thing IMO.
Russell is overplayed by Hartley. He should be 3rd pairing and either Smid or Engelland should move into the top 4 IMO.

Hanifin and Lindholm noticeable again.

Flames have lots of practice on a goalie that goes down too early .

I don't know, I think 'terrible' probably fits.

How about claiming that the suspension would be a big loss for the flames as he's the player with the most pp time while saying in the same sentence that the flames have the worst pp in the NHL
He then goes on to praise widemans pp by showing one of his only 2 goals this season

My barometer for 'terrible' is "Justin Schultz".

Francis can't go 2-3 sentences without 1 jerk comment to follow.

Ha. Fair enough. Russell has had several gaffes, but it's not a Schultzian display.

Cant wait for Francis to write an article about how losing Brodie would be no big deal.
Such a hack.

PP looks so much better without Wideman. As much as i feel sorry for the guy and think the 20 games is a joke, reality is it's addition by subtraction based on his play this year.

Eric Francis is a dummy. "they can't overcome that". What's worse
Brodie-Engelland
Russell-Wideman
Schlemko-Diaz
Wotherspoon
or
Giordano-Hamilton
Smid-Engelland
Russell-Nakladal
Kulak
I think (A) is worse.
