Longshot here but do any of you podcasters have a copy of the Adam Carolla podcast from 08-01-2010? It's the one with Nils Lofgren. I'd really like to get my hands on it but the only option online is to buy a copy and the credit card page is not secure.
Thanks for any help

I really enjoy 5by5's Hypercritical.
5by5 has a few good podcasts that I listen to regularly, but Hypercritical is the best of the bunch imo.

Stitcher Radio is a good app for collecting all your podcasts, and you can add tons of live radio streams.
It will then recommend shows that you will probably like too:

Bump.
I've really started to get into podcasts. I generally enjoy the in-depth news type podcasts. For example, my daily podcast is CBC's As It Happens because I really enjoy the interviews with the people involved in the stories. They also have good or funny news pieces as well.
I'm basically looking for some intelligent news discussion. Call-in shows are a bonus, Guest interviews, in-depth perspectives, etc. would all be great.
Any suggestions?

I can't recommend Dan Carlin enough. Hardcore History and Common Sense are great. Common Sense may be more geared to what you're looking for PMM.

The ones with I enjoy are Life Hacker, This Week in Tech, and Rachel Maddow, at least the ones that seem a little bit like what you are talking about.
Life Hacker tends to have a bit more of a tech related spin to it, TWIT is solely about Tech news, and Rachel Maddow is almost entirely left wing current US news.

I could listen to all of the CBC shows, pretty much. Quirks & Quarks, Wire Tap, Under the Influence, The Current are my favourite for listening. Among others, This American Life on NPR, The Savage Lovecast (warning not safe for children or those squeamish about sex), Freakanomics Radio, Science Friday, and Startalk round it out.

After a couple years of listening, these are the ones that stick with me:
Startalk Radio
nerdist
Pointless with Kevin Perrara
Jay and Dan Podcast
Ditched a few big ones, including Mark Maron and Adam Corolla. Just heard enough of these guys and not entertaining now. The Nerdist is getting close too, as the host Chris Hardwick is just a bit too soft too often now.

What are your guys' favorite educational podcasts? I would like to hear a well informed discussion or lecture about major events and people, like Tesla's history.

Yeah, same. I used to never miss a nerdist or WTF with Mark Maron episode but they're both getting too annoying. Maron is a good interviewer though (for the most part) and if he has a guest I like I'll listen. Can't really stand Chris Hardwick anymore. He has a really simple boring sense of humour and it's become a part of every show intro to put his annoying girlfriend at the start.
ResAlien mentioned this in another thread but I've added How Did this Get Made to my rotation. It's hilarious and great.
Wish Norm MacDonald was halfway consistant with his episodes.

It's just debuted (the second episode came out this week), but if you have interest in the entertainment industry and stories about it, I would recommend "Industry Standard w/Barry Katz". Katz is the manager of Jay Mohr (and others) and has been a guest on Jay's podcast multiple times.
In any case, I listened to the first episode last night where Katz interviewed Doug Herzog, who has headed Fox, USA, MTV, and Comedy Central during his career. The two told several great stories ranging from Dave Chappelle walking away from his show to the creation of "Remote Control" to a hilarious anecdote about Craig Kilborn's first meeting about hosting "The Daily Show".

I think Jim Florentine has one the best Podcasts going. It's comedic in an angry sort of way, he can go too much sometimes but it's all true and I really like it.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and my rotation changes often although the core stays the same (Carrola, Fitzdog, Maron, Mohr, Norm, Callen). I've recently added in Dom Irrera's Live from the Laugh Factory. Dom Irrera was never my type of comic on stage but as an interviewer, he is very good. Check it out.

Does Norm have an audio podcast, or is it only video?
