The only podcast I subscribe to is Sklarbro Country.
I love those guys because they are hilarious, and also because they read an email from me on the Jim Rome show before xmas (quite possibly the greatest accomplishment of my life).

Listened to Sklarbro Country last night while making dinner at the request of this thread. I'm not really into sports that aren't hockey, but I still found myself laughing hard enough to continue to listen.

As of this morning, I'm now subscribed to the "60 Minutes" podcast. I listened to it while swimming this morning and the time just wizzed on by.... usually doing laps is boring even with music on. You really don't need the video.
I'll try doing the same with "Real Time with Bill Maher" and see how that works out.
The most entertaining podcast on the internet, easy. If you've never heard it before, head to the "Favorites" section and start on the short list. I promise you'll be hooked right away. CBC Radio recently announced they'll be broadcasting it.
Sklarbro Country is the second best Earwolf podcast.
I sometimes have to completely stop listening to Comedy Death Ray on the bus because I'm giggling like a weirdo. Especially when Bob Ducca, Ice T, The Cake Boss or Sir Dame Andrew Lloyd Webber are on.

Whoa...swimming with earphones on? Why has this not occurred to me before? Things will never be the same for me.
This is what I use:
It takes a 3rd generation iPod shuffle. I know that Apple is now on the 4th generation of shuffles, but it usually takes H2O audio a few months to design a new case. I've had my system for a year, used 3 times a week every week and haven't had a single problem. Other than the time I accidently loaded only Leonard Cohen songs onto the iPod and almost drowned.

Hardcore History with Dan Carlin is great too. So much research goes into his topics that it's only 1 podcast a month 90 minutes each. There was one that was 4 parts, over 5 hours long about WWII and the Eastern Front. Absolutely chilling.
Ghosts of the Ostfront it was called and it was epic!
I have way too many podcasts to listen to at the moment and threads like these are killers for me. Killers in a good way, but killers nonetheless. I have to agree with Algernon ... podcasts are incredible and entirely under-utilized by most.
If you listen to podcasts that are mostly talking then you should try listening at 2x speed. It's weird at first, but you cruise through your podcasts. I found that I was deleting podcasts because they were piling up and I wasn't going to get to them. This solved the problem for me, big time.

I do that sometimes too. It is actually pretty neat because your mind can get used to interpreting the talking at that speed, even though it takes some getting used to.
