Hey Crunch, you forgot a bit from that reading:
And lo, the mighty Kiprusoff was undone by the six Disciples of Defence, for the sin of slothfulness was upon them. For their sin, the Kiprusoff turned his favor away from them and they fell upon the barren ground resulting from the lack of sowing the seeds of checking and blocking of the shot. The Kiprusoff wandered alone for a time and was tempted in the Desert of Fallen Confidence, where the devils sayeth to him "thou art but waste and should be cast aside." To which the Kiprusoff responded, "I will not fail my father, the Sutter, and will return to climb the mountain. Get yourself behind me devils" and the devils were banished to the pit of babbling nonsense from whence they came. And the Kiprusoff returned to his Disciples of Defence, who had learned the errors of their ways, and made his face shine upon them once more and prosperity was once again plentiful.
So sayeth Marv, the prophet of the Second Coming. Amen.

I think that was in the book of wanderings behind the blueline
It was also in the letters from the Kipper to Mike Keenan.

A reading from the Book of Redemption:
"And yea, the mighty Kiprusoff began to climb the mountain once more, treading the painful path of redemption. He began by facing off with the two-faced Janus god Toivonen of the cult of Blues, the weight of adversity threatening to crush him. The first stone cast by the cult of Blues struck the Kiprusoff a mortal blow and he did stumble, and a mighty cry went up from the villagers below who feared he would be undone. But the mighty Kiprusoff did gather his strength unto himself and rose aright again with a mighty roar of "this far and no farther!" that rattled off the mountains and shook the heavens. Rallying around his battle cry, the Flames of truth did burn bright and fierce and pierce the heart of Toivonen with flaming spears. When the dust did settle and the smoke cleared from the field of battle, the mighty Kiprusoff stood victorious over the vanquished god Toivonen and the cult of Blues, the C upon his breast alight with the flame of triumph. Turning his gaze upon the mountain once more, he began to climb, and there was much rejoicing and consuming of mead in the village as the people cried out in joy."
Thus endeth the reading. Amen.

Wow, this is old!
He's elevating his game when Calgary isn't playing too well.

I want to hear a Kipper chant started up the Dome.

This is worth repeating. We just don't do it anymore and the Flames don't put it on the jumbotron either.

Aside from the start of the year, the majority of his season has been great.
It's a shame the "Kip-per Kip-per" chants don't happen anymore in the Dome. He deserves them.

That really should be a goalie stick instead of a cross above the pic of Kipper.
