Yes and no. I got the "Wow, you are a good flosser" speech once or twice. But then they notice the tarter build up, and you get the "You gave it a good try, but can do better speech"

I think they just like giving the lecture, cause I floss regularly like a good girl but I always get the speech. Every time, without fail, I get the speech. Maybe it's mandatory or something.

Ah, grandmothers. Mine once got me and my brothers a fly swatter. That was the nicest thing she's ever done for us, horrible horrible woman.

The grandmother that gave me that gift is a really sweet woman but when I was growing up she'd drink tea 24/7 and didn't sleep. I think it affected her gift giving decisions. I suspect that she really meant to give me the baby blue feathered steering wheel cover that my sister received. But it's a funnier story when I leave that part out.

Holy crap tell me about it, I lived that nightmare until the 18th.. My tv hasnt even been connected yet. But thankfully I now have the internets.

If I had to choose between cable and the internet, I'd take the internet almost every time (the Senators being in the Cup finals would be the sole exception). Anything I really want to watch can be downloaded and watched on my computer.

Now I'm wondering how long it is going to take for Newegg to deliver the rice cooker I just purchased.

I'm thinking the same. Not bothering with cable until the playoffs near, and even then I might not keep it after. But dammit, I need my internets! And I have to wait for the 31st before it is hooked up, according to Telus.

GreenTeaFrapp, I have seen Gran Torino and it is awesome. If you computer smart, a dvd screener of it got released already. Not that I advocate piracy

Me computer smart. But I think I'd rather watch it on something bigger then a 14" screen if I have the choice. There are plenty of other movies for me to watch until I get an opportunity to see it. Hell, I haven't even seen The Dark Knight yet (or should I be posting that part in the confessional thread)!
