Good one. I started getting a little better about it after being on the jumbotron a million times last season.....it is a weird thing to have a fit about I guess.

I think I may have been on the big screen twice in all the games I've been to and those times I was just in the background.

So my dad rented a car and a GPS while we were in Vegas.. we're trying to find our way from Hoover Damn to the Premium Outlets... going down I-515, we were told to keep left... and then with about 100 feet to go, we were told to take the off ramp ON THE RIGHT to get on to MLK... 100 FEET... how do you expect us to get from the most left lane to the right within 100 FEET doing 65mph?!

Just pretend you are merging onto Deerfoot from Memorial and slam your brakes on as soon as you get into traffic like everyone else.

I can't get motivated unless I have somebody breathing down my neck all day. I would love for somebody to come raging into my office and tear a strip off me one day.
No problem. When and where?

I dunno if this fits in the confession thread, but I'd put it here in the fear that someone might get pissed its not a crazy drunk story.

So for one of my big project classes (for any techie's out there, designing a 64 bit adder at 2GHz in 5 clock phases) which is supposed to take 200 hours, one of the partners I picked never seems to answer his phone and rarely replies to emails, and the other one keeps calling me (because I answer the phone) but he's East Indian and seems to have a heavier accent on the phone. (Not that I really knew what he was saying in person, but my partner asked me if he could join our group and he didn't seem to smell bad and was working in industry, so I thought, what the hell, why not.)

Anyways, when this guy calls me, I have no idea what he's saying. I just keep saying ok, ok ok, sure, ok, sure, why don't you give me an email I'm a little busy, ok, ok, I guess you are going to keep talking and not email me?, ok, ok, ok, I have no idea where <other project partner> is... etc etc. When I finally get him off the phone after 10 minutes, I have no f&^%ing clue what the hell he said.

I had a good chuckle when I saw this on urbandictionary:

"lol theory

The theory that the internet phrase lol, meaning "laugh out loud", can be placed at any part in any sentence and make said sentence lose all credibilty and seriousness.

ex 1
Doc: We need to operate on your colon lol, you have cancer.

ex 2
Jesus: Take this all of you and eat it, it is my body, lol.

ex 3
Me: Will you marry me? Lol.

^Lol theory in action"

It's funny because it's true. Even on CP, I have a hard time taking someone seriously if they say "lol". If you must laugh, I prefer "haha" for some reason.

Superman III is playing on Teletoon right now.

Tune in to see downtown Calgary of 1983! It's kind of fun trying to spot some of thee loctions but I think many of them are demolished now. I think I saw Penny Lane. He flies over a C-Train later on, I can't quite figure out where that takes place though. It seems oddly familiar.

That was in 1983?!?! I can vividly remember them filming that since I was downtown with my mom at work from time to time.

I am officially old, old and broke, old, broke and .... "You kids get off my lawn!"

question on those pictures, if they're created with just him using flashlights on a long exposure, why is he not in any of the pictures? how else does he move the flashlights?
