So in other words, there's still no chance of me hitting you up for a movie night.

Nope, it was Sutton Place I think...right next to the heart of downtown, within walking distance of blah blah blah. Then they showed the obligatory shots of West Ed. I felt bad for the chick, the trip was worth $5,500 or so...and the other day, some girl won a trip to some fancy island worth $10,000. Although to be fair, the winner of the Edmonton trip looked like she'd fit right in there.
I suppose I should head over to the confession thread and say I watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy way too much for how old I am.
Also Res...why hate on Provost? Maybe you can catch a cross-burning while your there!

Come on, Friday the 13th from IV to VII were hilarious fun. My friends and I would crack jokes about how stupid the characters were, track the body count (which was usually around 25) and cheer for Jason.
The series sucked since VIII when Jason took Manhattan. Not enough killing and the story was too stupid.

I saw it cause I like horror movies. I really didn't like the changes they made to Jason.

I thought that was Prince George? That's what the Liberals told me.
Provost isn't horrible, aside from the fact that civilization does not exist 300km in any direction. Its more the fact that I should have been in the 300 level of the Dome tonight eating nachos.

I think I just figured out how I'm going to make a million dollars... A long distance dating website where you go do things together, but apart!
You and Steely should each go see that movie at the same time and call it a date!
Movie patron:Look at that loser watching this chick flick by himself!
Steely:I'm not alone, my date and I are watching this together
Movie patron:I don't see any date, you're lying
Steely:I am not!
Movie patron:Where is she then?
Steely:Pittsburgh
Movie patron:...

Bah-ha. My roommate is from PG, and holy hummer the stories he tells. What a hole of a place that is.
But you're right. Provost isn't that bad...some decent ball and hockey players to come out of there, and the cross burning happened like 20 years ago or something. We actually have some good family friends who live there.

Why? Because it's possibly one of the cheapest major tourist cities you can go to at this point. My flight out of Toronto was $99 + tax/fees, hotel is $60/night, which includes buffet for two (at least at the Monte Carlo anyway). A lot of things are on sale here in Vegas... and there's always that SLIM chance you can make money in Vegas.

Hah! I already have the patent on that idea! I used to do it all the time with this woman I met while I was working up in Spruce Grove - we'd get the same movie rental and watch it "together" by synchronizing the start and talking on the speakerphone (she had free LD) while it was on.
Best relationship I ever had - no pressure to "go over" or have her "come over", I'd go up to Edmonton for a weekend IF I felt like it, otherwise I'd be "busy with work".
I've thought about getting one of those Russian brides, but instead of having her come over here, I'd just leave her in Russia and meet up with her in Europe somewhere for a holiday every year. 2 or 3 weeks is about my limit for putting up with another human in close proximity, so I think it would work out pretty well for me - AND if all she was interested in was enough money so she didn't have to hook on the streets of Moscow, it'd be win-win all the way!

I went to Vegas expecting to see some exotic European cars on the roads... my expectations were waaaaaaay off. I have seen only one Porsche, a few BMWs and a handful of Mercedes. I do see a lot of domestic cars/trucks... with expensive rims.
So, if any of you going to Vegas expect to see expensive cars, sorry, out of luck, but you'll get crappy cars with expensive rims though.

Ah. Can't count the Porsches I see ok a typical day down here. And last week perhaps an average of 4 Bentleys a day. Lots of other European cars too. My favorite is still the good old American SuperBird I see once in awhile.Perfectly restored and worth almost as much as some Ferraris.

I have never seen a single Bentley in my life everywhere that I've been. I've seen a few Porsches, a few Lambos and a few Ferraris. I've also seen 3 Rolls Royces...

There's at least one guy here in town that is driving his Bentley sport coupe around in the winter.... I figure he's got maybe another year until one of the contruction vehicles takes a chunk out of it. Lots of dump trucks running around here to the Burnco site west of C.O.P.
