Pizza 3000 in Montgomery is the best pizza in all of Alberta.

The pizza place that is within 10 minutes of my residence is bar none, the best pizza in Calgary, and it's not even debatable.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think I will eat at any restaurant you rate highly.

Do not EAT***** at Calgary DEEP DISH Pizza ever!!!.1!! I went to THIS high end PIZZA establishment and THEY never refilled my DIET coke OR HUSBANDS water once. !!!@!! I SPECIFICALLY ASKED for a side of ranch to DIP my crust in and they charged me 50 CENTS for the sauce. AND IT was a horrible sauce. I will never EAT here again. I was so mad I DIDN'T leave a tip. THESE PIZZA places work for me and if I CAN'T even get a decent RANCH sauce they didn't work for THEIR tip.!!!!!!!!!

I like the stuffed crust pizza as well, but it stuns me how much the hut has gone downhill. For a place that specializes in pizza, they are not far from being in deliciosso territory at four time the price.

If you're drunk, go to Awesome Kitchen on 10th and get the donair pizza then cover it in Frank's. Don't go when you're sober, the magic disappears.

Yes, a very good higher end pie. Another semi-new entry in this category is Cibo on 17th ave and 10th st...nothing better than slightly charred bubbles on the crust. About the same price point as Double Zero / Famoso / Without Papers, etc, 16-17ish per pie.

What a pretty mental picture you have painted describing your dining experience there.
I wonder had everything went fine, if you would've left a tip anyway...

Another vote for Il Centro
Also "A Pizza Plus" is pretty good.

I can also recommend "A Pizza Plus", it has to be one of the best value places out there and is open real late on weekends.
However, I had a pie from Spiro's this weekend and it always really impresses me. It's not cheap, but I have to recommend it as my favorite greek style pizza in town.

The Pizza 3000 in Shawnessy is also quite good. Nothing special, your typical east-indian pizza... tons of toppings, cheesy and on the thicker side of things.
I'm also a big fan lately of Sammy's down by the passport office in the south along Macleod trail. They burn the cheese ever so slightly, which is about 50 points in my book.

I had Jeanne's pizza a couple of weekends ago. Was very good - more than ample toppings. Very filling while not being a deep dish! They're very friendly too.

I just had Grimaldi's in NYC and Pizzeria Uno in Chicago, so I don't know what I am supposed to do for pizza now...

No love for Verona Pizza? Sucks that they are food court only or I'd be ordering it a lot more. Makes for a damn good lunch though.

Calgary seems to have an obsession with Chicago-style pizza, and I've been finding it very difficult to find a proper thin crust pie that doesn't taste like it's made from cardboard.
I wonder if my condo board would allow me put in a wood-fire oven?

I live in San Diego and even I know that Atlas Pizza serves the best in Calgary.
