You know what's incredible? All the ginned up outrage on the right over the Trump piss-gate and how dare the media even report it when it was unsubstantiated..
Yet birthers were given a platform on fox news for years. How do these hypocrites sleep at night?

Lock her up, lock her up.
No difference.
But the press shouldn't treat poor Donny so badly.
I swear it's like he wanted the job to get back at the press for years of perceived injustice.

Because they're soulless. Take Jason Chaffetz. Remember when after ##### grabbing that he couldn't in good conscience vote for Trump because he had to look his daughters in the face? Well now he's saying the ethics officer needs to be subpoenaed because Trump's plan to prevent conflicts of interest didn't do #### to prevent them.
Quote:
House Republicans have found a subject for their opening review of conflicts of interest under Donald Trump: the federal official in charge of investigating conflicts of interest.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the head of the House Oversight Committee, criticized the director of the federal Office of Government Ethics on Thursday over his criticism of Donald Trump’s plan to address conflicts of interest. And he threatened to subpoena the official, Walter Shaub, if he refuses to participate in an official interview.
“He seems to be acting prematurely at best, without doing investigations or thorough looks,” Chaffetz said in an interview. “He’s rendering opinions publicly that really cause you to scratch your head. We need the Office of Government Ethics to act ethically. Ironically, that’s not what they’re doing.”
Shaub, an appointee of President Barack Obama, has been a frequent critics of the incoming administration’s ethics plans, peaking Wednesday when he called Trump’s newly unveiled conflicts of interest policy “meaningless.”
The public rebuke of Trump’s business arrangements came during a press conference at the Brookings Institution that included the outspoken former White House ethics lawyers for Obama and former President George W. Bush. In his remarks, Shaub said the president-elect “stepping back from running his positions is meaningless from a conflict of interest perspective.”
"The plan does not comport with the tradition of our presidents over the last 40 years," he added.

It's sobering to think a portrait of this guy is going to be in every school room if he doesn't step down in the next few days. If he doesn't, I hope they are allowed the discretion to use his mocking face pose. If you make that face, it's going to stay that way.

Chaffetz is a class A dbag.
I still get a good laugh at his Chaffetz chart at the end of the planned parenthood hearing though.

So, about that Rolling Stone article: it ends with a call for investigation and public disclosure, "and we need it now, before it's too late." Implying that a week and a half from now, when Trump is inaugurated, it's too late. Which is a sentiment I've seen expressed elsewhere.
I'm not clear on the US constitution, but what mechanisms exist that make it possible to do something about this between now and then? I had assumed that once Trump was president-elect, the only mechanism for removing him from power would be impeachment. It's not like congress has the authority to deny him an inauguration if they felt strongly about it, is there? Would even a criminal investigation be able to prevent him from being inaugurated?

Ha, Rudy. On the other hand, this sums it up pretty well.
Jason Pollock @Jason_Pollock
Step 1: Create fake news
Step 2: Poison public w/ fake news
Step 3: Label real news, fake news
Step 4: Call any media against you fake news

Trump's cyber security adviser's website is not very secure, shocking.

So Trump is trying to take control of the hacking situation by building his own investigative team (under Rudy) and will try to use that as the word of truth on hacking findings.
He's literally building his own intelligence department.
