Who said Obama was bad for having policies that also created jobs. These are all just job savings/created in-addition to that, in direct reponse to the new Trump policies that otherwise would have been shed under Obama's policies.

Except in all these cases Trump & policies have been referenced as part of the reasoning of the decision. This isn't a case of Trump taking credit for every job created since he was elected, but rather the ones where both parties have acknowledged it.

The big 3 existing in its current form is a direct result of Obama bailing them out and recovering most of the bailout money as shares were sold. That Hillary didn't ride on the auto-bailout as a crowning achievement of the democrats through the Midwest is puzzling.
The Trump stuff is interesting, I have never seen private companies give a politician so much credit for things directly. I wonder if part of the strategy with Trump is to play to his ego to win favourable policy or if they see appealing to the Trump voter as a marketing strategy. There public relations with government policy has changed since the election.

16 days until inauguration and he's mocking the entire intelligence apparatus of his own country. The one he's about to lead.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
The "Intelligence" briefing on so-called "Russian hacking" was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!
This is going to go well. The whole thing.

I'm more or less convinced he's out by June or July the latest. Republicans will give him a few months to hang himself, then they'll move. Probably convince people removing him is the patriotic thing to do.

Trumps tweets are officially my favorite thing. The US somehow elected the most stereotypically Fox News viewer possible to the presidency.
Julian Assange said “a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta” – why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 4, 2017
“@FoxNews: Julian Assange on U.S. media coverage: “It’s very dishonest.” #Hannity pic.twitter.com/ADcPRQifH9” More dishonest than anyone knows
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 4, 2017
Somebody hacked the DNC but why did they not have “hacking defense” like the RNC has and why have they not responded to the terrible……
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 4, 2017
things they did and said (like giving the questions to the debate to H). A total double standard! Media, as usual, gave them a pass.

The meeting was always on Friday according to "intelligence". Similar to how Trump accused the NYT of cancelling a meeting when they hadn't.
His comment that he has more information that he's going to reveal about the hack also turned out to be false.
His deals in Indonesia seem to be going ahead..
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/31/wo...mp-resort.html
Trump during the campaign praised Setya Novanto, speaker of the house in Indonesia, calling him a great man at Trump Tower. Novanto was forced to resign temporarily when he was recorded trying to get $4b out of a gigantic US mining company (the mining company is Indonesia's single biggest taxpayer) while renewing a land lease.
One of the biggest shareholders in that mining company is Carl C. Icahn, who is now a special adviser on regulatory issues for Trump.
Work is going forward on two Trump projects in Indonesia, I guess projects that had been in discussion but not started aren't included in "no new deals".
EDIT: Tillerson is severing ties with Exxon Mobil as required. One interesting note is that if Tillerson goes back to working in O&G within 10 years, all the money that went into a trust as a result of the severing ties goes to charity.

And of course, it wouldn't be Trump if he didn't praise something today (Wikileaks) he called to have umm...put to death (or something?!?!?), a few years ago

What's a bummer is that it doesn't matter. His supporters will chalk it up to him "telling it like it is" or some such crap and his detractors will file it into the eternal and neverending abyss that is his ability to constantly contradiction himself without repurcussion.

Great post from Dan Rather on Facebook.
Quote:
A lie, is a lie, is a lie. Journalism, as I was taught it, is a process of getting as close to some valid version of the truth as is humanly possible. And one of my definitions of news is information that the powerful don't want you to know.
So this statement (see attached article) from the editor in chief of the Wall Street Journal about how his paper will report on Donald Trump’s potential (likely?) future lies is deeply disturbing. It is not the proper role of journalists to meet lies—especially from someone of Mr. Trump’s stature and power—by hiding behind semantics and euphemisms. Our role is to call it as we see it, based on solid reporting. When something is, in fact, a demonstrable lie, it is our responsibility to say so.
There is no joy in taking issue with the Journal’s chief editor. His newspaper is a publication for which I have deep respect for the overall quality of its reporting. But, as I have said before and will say as long as people are willing to listen, this is a gut check moment for the press. We are being confronted by versions of what are claimed to be “the truth” that resemble something spewed out by a fertilizer-spreader in a wind tunnel. And there is every indication that this will only continue in the Tweets and statements of the man who will now hold forth from behind the Great Seal of the President of the United States.
Some journalists and publications will rise to the occasion. Some will not. You as the paying, subscribing public, can use your leverage and pocketbooks to keep those who should be honest brokers of information, well, honest.

Here's the article he attached, with the quote from Wall Street Journal editor in chief Gerard Baker:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...=.6e95b97000a6
Quote:
I’d be careful about using the word, “lie.” “Lie” implies much more than just saying something that’s false. It implies a deliberate intent to mislead. … when Donald Trump says thousands of people were on the rooftops of New Jersey on 9/11 celebrating, thousands of Muslims were there celebrating, I think it’s right to investigate that claim, to report what we found, which is that nobody found any evidence of that whatsoever, and to say that.
I think it’s then up to the reader to make up their own mind to say, “This is what Donald Trump says. This is what a reliable, trustworthy news organization reports. And you know what? I don’t think that’s true.” I think if you start ascribing a moral intent, as it were, to someone by saying that they’ve lied, I think you run the risk that you look like you are, like you’re not being objective.
And I do think also it applies — this is happening all the time now, people are looking at Donald Trump’s saying and saying, “This is false. It’s a false claim.” I think people say, “Well, you know what? Hillary Clinton said a lot of things that were false.” I don’t recall the press being quite so concerned about saying that she lied in headlines or in stories like that.
