Twitter has been the downfall of so many public officials. It's hilarious.

That's amazing.
"It just made my day. Not the horribly racist part, the change in the White House part. The horribly racist part is so commonplace I didn't even notice it honestly."
I just can't imagine living in a social circle where you think you could just say that kind of thing and it would just be kosher.
Well now she has no job so she can find a social circle where it's just dandy. A mayor replied "That just made my day" and she has now resigned. They can start their own circle.
Just one time I'd like to see someone own it. "Yeah, I'm a 100% racist" instead of "But my friends tell me I'm not a racist!". Trump won, let the inner racist out (so we can mark you appropriately for future reference).

Colbert had this moment from the press secretary. Go to 5:13.

Interesting that she did what most decent people do when they put themselves in that situation. Trump has said and did much worse in vast quantities and never had the decency to be embarrassed at all - and look where he is now . . .
I wouldn't be surprised to see more of the later to arise along with the spike in hate crimes that Trump has kicked off.
