I do think this type of stuff is kind of interesting (mostly the ancient cultures/mythology parts), that said I dont think people should take it to heart. Because really, if this does go down....there's nothing you can do anyways

one of my fellow branch managers had a couple come into his branch and apply for a loan.
he's half way thru the application when the woman pipes up and asks if they get the loan, if they woudl have to continue paying after 2012.

Does our time keeping end in December? Of course not, we just get another January.

In fact the cycle that ends in 2012 is only one of 9 different time increment cycles (kinda like how we split things up into hours, days, weeks, months, years ourselves), the fifth I believe (don't quote me).

The whole 2012 conspiracy has so much bad information passed around about it. Bad history, bad spirituality, bad astronomy, bad science.

I believe (again don't quote me) that this cycle indicates the time in which our planet (due to our solar system or something?) will be aligned with the axis of the galaxy. Of course the galaxy is disk shaped and everything is more or less aligned, but there is some motion back and forth from the true center.

And of course, the Mayan culture had nothing to do with Planet X or Nibiru. That's a Sumerian thing. People just try to find things they can link together as usual. Like people going through Nostradamus quotes to find something that could seem like some historical event.

There's many videos out there debunking the many myths. Some are actually quite interesting. I started reading up a lot about it a few years ago because I knew a girl who was obsessed with it and I was trying to find the real stories behind the Mayan calendar as well as the truths about the science and the astronomy.

Just about the time of 2012 Winter Solstice, the Sun's poles will switch back. During this switch there will be a tendency for the Sun's magnetic field to pull the Earth's field with it.

I mean, to make such specific predictions such as "durring a 25 year span a lot of people will end relationships, move, change jobs, or change their minds on something".

Had like 10 different jobs,

I have heard a lot of that stuff, but again, most of it is exaggerated or taken WAY out of context. Like I said, it's a lot like people looking at Nostradamous' ramblings (or the Book of Revelation for that matter) and saying, 'Hey this sounds like WW2' and 'Hey, this could possibly be talking about nuclear war.' Neither of those sources really say things like that and neither did the Mayans.

I saw a scholar on Mayan culture speaking and he kept mentioning that it was sad everyone got swept up in this one 2012 bullplop because it was totally misinforming people of the Mayan culture and that they had a lot of really interesting REAL things to study.

As we get closer to 2012 you will see a tidal wave of people jumping on the bandwagon on either the end of the world side or the new beginning side. I am a 2012 believer, I will come right out and admit that. I am not entirely sold on the cataclysm or pole shift theory and I think planet x is bunk. But there is a major shift in consciousness rapidly occurring on this planet and we are seeing it manifest in a number of ways.

The rapid increase in technology (understatement of the century), the seemingly imminent collapse of our world financial system, our increasing awareness of interconnectedness through globalization and the internet, environmental changes, peak oil etc.

The mayans were not the only one to predict these times of change. The hopi and other idigenous tribes who were more connected with the earth, spirit and the cosmos foretold of the end of this age and the shift to a new radically different one.

Quantum physicists are telling us what ancient spiritual teachings have been saying for centuries. We are all connected, everything material and immaterial is all connected through energy at the subatomic level. We quite literally co-create the world we live in through our thoughts, beliefs and actions.

The me first, egoic world our collective consciousness has created is crumbling. If we want to survive as a species past the next 100 years we are gonna have to come to the realization that we're all in this together. Some systems theorists hypothesize that a species comes to a point where they come to the brink of extinction and they either evolve or die. That's where we are right now. Take a long hard look at the world and don't kid yourself. There is something major happening on this planet right now. There is a shift in consciousness occuring and it's a chance for us to create a better world or to kill ourselves. It's our choice. It's claimed that the calendar ends in 2012 not because the world ends but because that's the point when the rest was up to us to create for oursleves and it could go any way after that.

Either all that, or I'm crazy. But the 2012 crowd will be growing either way leading up to that day...
