sorry I'm afraid I'm not making my point clear enough.... either I'm doing a real bad job explaining it (odds are) or you're talking more then listening.
I would try one more time, but I doubt it really matters anyways.

No worries, it's probably more the latter and not the former.
Sorry for the delay, it's been hell the past few hours trying to sort out some changes to my European adventures..
For my first pick, I select from Winston-Salem North Carolina, in piano/keyboards, Mr. BEN FOLDS!
Quote:
Folds' first solo release after the breakup of the band was Rockin' the Suburbs in 2001, on which he played nearly all the instruments, notably guitar, an instrument seldom used during the Ben Folds Five days. A year later, he released Ben Folds Live, a collection of live solo recordings. In late 2003, two solo EPs, Speed Graphic and Sunny 16, were released, and a third, entitled Super D, was released in mid-2004. Songs for Silverman was released in the United States on April 26, 2005. The album featured Jared Reynolds on bass and Lindsay Jamieson on the drums, thus returning to the trio format. This album includes the track "Late," a tribute to the late singer-songwriter Elliott Smith, and also features backup vocals from "Weird Al" Yankovic on "Time." (Folds had played piano for Yankovic's song "Why Does This Always Happen to Me?" on his Poodle Hat album. Yankovic also directed and appeared in Folds' video for the "Rockin' the Suburbs" single).
Folds also contributed to William Shatner's most recent album, Has Been, as a producer, arranger, musician, and backup vocalist. Shatner also sang vocals on Folds' Fear of Pop song, "In Love," which was performed live on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on January 22, 1999.
Folds has also had help from John McCrea, lead singer of the band Cake; his vocal stylings are featured on the Ben Folds' song "Fred Jones, Part 2"
In May 2006, Folds contributed three original songs to the soundtrack of Over the Hedge, a DreamWorks production, as well as a cover of The Clash song "Lost in the Supermarket," and a remix of "Rockin' The Suburbs" with some new lyrics written to complement the script of the film -- to which Shatner contributed a spoken rant.
On October 24, 2006, Folds released Supersunnyspeedgraphic, the LP, a compilation of songs that were originally released on the EPs Sunny 16, Speed Graphic, and Super D. He announced on his MySpace blog that he planned to work on his next studio album in October 2006, although recording did not actually start until 2007.
On October 24, 2006, Folds became the first person to broadcast a live concert over MySpace. The concert was complete with pranks staged ahead of time by Folds, including a drunk man falling over the balcony during "Jesusland" and a suicide attempt at the end. The concert is also notable for featuring a "guitorchestra," a group of acoustic guitarists from Nashville who accompanied Folds on some songs, as well as a ringtone orchestra featuring members of the audience playing their cellphone ringtones in unison.
Ben Folds is producing The Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer's first solo album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer to be released in September 2008. He will also play on the album.[10][11]
Folds announced that he has completed his newest album (which is still untitled) during his concert at the National in Richmond, Virginia on April 11, 2008, during which he played four new tracks from the upcoming album. The first track will be titled "Hiroshima" which he announced and played at the same show in Richmond on April 11. He debuted new music at an impromptu gig at the Exit/In on December 19, 2007 and at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival on January 25, 2008. Other new songs include "Errant Dog", "Effington", "The Bitch Went Nuts", "Free Coffee", and "Kylie From Connecticut". Folds played The 6th annual Langerado on March 8, 2008 and was a part of the lineup for the 2008 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival where he announced he was playing Bitches Ain't for the last time.
These songs will be released on a still unnamed album due out in September 2008 according to an interview Ben had with Billboard.comon April 25, 2008.

Give me my money back, give me my money back, you bitch (Song For The Dumped)
His cover of Bitches Aint Shiznit is one of my favourites.. I played it for my mom and she liked how it started, then just burst out laughing and told me I was silly.
For my next pick, in the WORLD MUSIC category:
Icelandic Ambient, the ultimate chill-out group.. Sigur Rós

With my 9th pick in the draft troutman's K-tel Sound Explosion is proud to select in the USA West category, from East Los Angeles, California, LOS LOBOS:
For my money, the most under-rated and consistently excellent American band of the last 25 years. David Hidalgo is a national treasure. An excellent singer, song-writer, top guitar player, and I have seem him play accordion, violin and drums. Too bad most people only know them for La Bamba.
Los Lobos were one of America's most distinctive and original bands of the '80s. They may have had a hit with "La Bamba" in 1987, yet that cover barely scratches the surface of their talents. Los Lobos are eclectic in the best sense of the word. While they draw equally from rock, Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B, blues, and traditional Spanish and Mexican music, their music never sounds forced or self-conscious. Instead, all of their influences become one graceful, gritty sound. From their very first recordings, their rich musicality was apparent; on nearly every subsequent record, they have found ways to redefine and expand their sound, without ever straying from the musical traditions that form the heart and soul of the band.
Interview with Steve Berlin (he calls Paul Simon a prick for stealing songs; I mean he [Simon] quite literally – and in no way do I exaggerate when I say – he stole the songs from us... The guy was clueless... He's the world's biggest prick, basically. -Steve Berlin on making Graceland with Paul Simon): http://www.jambase.com/Articles/9391/LONE-WOLF-HANGIN'-WITH-STEVE-BERLIN/1
With my 9th round Pick, scwf's Creeping Death, proudly selects from Ireleand (category - UK), – The Pogues
Quote:
By demonstrating that the spirit of punk could live in traditional Irish folk music, the Pogues were one of the most radical bands of the mid-'80s. Led by Shane MacGowan, whose slurred, incomprehensible voice often disguised the sheer poetry of his songs, the Pogues were undeniably political — not only were many of their songs explicitly in favor of working-class liberalism, but the wild, careening sound of their punk-injected folk was implicitly radical. While the band was clearly radical, they also had a wickedly warped sense of humor, which was abundantly clear on their biggest hit, the fractured Christmas carol "Fairy Tale of New York." The group's first three albums — Red Roses for Me, Rum Sodomy & the Lash, If I Should Fall From Grace With God — were widely praised in both Britain and America, and by 1988 they had earned substantial cult followings in both countries. Yet MacGowan's darkly romantic, wasted lifestyle, which was so key to their spirit and success, ultimately proved to be their downfall. By the end of the decade, he had fallen deep into alcoholism and drug addiction, forcing the band to fire him if they wanted to survive. The Pogues carried on without him in the early '90s, playing to a slowly shrinking audience, before finally disbanding in 1996. Shane MacGowan, an Irish punk inspired by the Clash, formed the Pogues in 1982 after playing with the London-based punk band the Nipple Erectors, a group which was later called the Nips. MacGowan met Spider Stacy in a London tube station, where Stacy was playing a tin whistle. The two began working together, drafting former NipJim Fearnley to play guitar. Naming themselves Pogue Mahone — a Gaelic term meaning "kiss my ass" — the trio began playing traditional Irish tunes in London pubs and streets, eventually adding Jem Finer (banjo, guitar), Andrew David Ranken (drums) and Cait O'Riordan (bass) to make it a full band. As the group developed into a sextet, they added MacGowan's original songs to their repertoire, and began earning a reputation as a wild, drunken and exciting live act. Shortening their name to the Pogues, the group released an independent single, "Dark Streets of London," in early 1984 and supported the Clash on their summer tour. By the fall, they had signed with Stiff Records and had released their acclaimed debut Red Roses for Me. Red Roses for Me was a critical hit, establishing the Pogues as one of the most vital, and certainly one of the most political, bands in Britain. Early in 1985, they added guitarist Philip Chevron and recorded Rum Sodomy and the Lash with producer Elvis Costello. The album was an underground success and was widely praised, especially for MacGowan's songwriting — not only in the U.K., but also in the U.S., where they were becoming college radio staples. Instead of following Rum Sodomy and the Lash with a new album, the Pogues took nearly a full year hiatus from recording, releasing the Poguetry in Motion EP in 1986 and appearing in Alex Cox's film Straight to Hell in 1987. By 1988, O'Riordan had left the band to marry Costello, and she was replaced by Darryl Hunt; banjoist Terry Woods was also added to the band. Early in 1988, they signed to Island Records and released the Steve Lillywhite-produced If I Should Fall From Grace With God later that year. The album became the group's biggest hit, generating the number two U.K. single "Fairytale of New York," which featured vocalist Kirsty MacColl.
With the 9th round Pick (174th) Hanna Sniper's EC and the G-String Band, selects in the “Bass” category, from Sydney, Australia Tal Wilkenfeld
Quote:
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Tal chose music over the high school experience and moved to the US at a very young age. She rapidly became known for her remarkable sense of time and musicality and started working around LA on various sessions and gigs. After two years, she moved to New York, and since then she has performed with such luminary musicians as Jeff "Tain" Watts, the Allman Brothers band, Leni Stern, Russel Ferrante, Susan Tedeschi, Hiram Bullock, Kenwood Dennard, Adam Deitch and Dave Kikoski.
Tal recently recorded her first CD, where she composed, produced, arranged and played bass on eight intricate tunes with Wayne Krantz, Geoffrey Keezer, Seamus Blake, and Keith Carlock, with special guests Samuel Torres and Oteil Burbridge.
This one was for Trout, I thought I would bump my last pick up to this spot. I really have no clue how well this pick will look in the future as she is just on the verge of something big. I think she has way too much potential to pass up… and why the hell not
